Overall Experience: So far, I've had a great experience. The class sizes are small, and instructors take an interest in all students. I would definitely choose this school again because it has many degree options with job placement after graduation.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: There are always employers on campus recruiting; also other colleges and universities to advance your education. The degree options are great, and internships are a good way to get experience.

3 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: I'm in a specific program, so flexibility isn't really an option. Classes are lumped into one day a week, internship is the rest of the week. Transferring credits was easy.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: My program is very intense, but hopefully rewarding. The job outlook is great, plus doing an internship throughout the length of the program is good experience. Any classes that I take are directly related to my major, any general education classes are taken as prerequisites.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: Class registration is a breeze, and there is a great variety of class offerings. The health programs are popular, but there are waiting lists to get into specific programs.

4 College Junior

Online Courses: I've only taken one online course.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: The small class sizes are awesome! The largest class size I had was 50 people. The courses are meaningful, not a waste of my time or money. Instructors take the time to make sure everyone understands the subject. They also take the time to know student's names, you are more than an ID number.

College Junior

Career Services: I'm in the first year of my two year program, not quite sure of the post-grad services.

Campus Resources: There are plenty of resources for students, no matter the situation. The fitness room is great! There are a lot of activities and groups available to become a part of. I've never used the student center.

3 College Junior

Student Body: It is a relatively small school, but there is a very diverse population.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Applying for financial aid was easy, and the staff in the financial aid office are great with answering any questions I have had. I definitely feel my education is worth the price. There were no hidden fees in the tuition process.

Campus Resources: There is a great exercise/equipment room free to students, the student center is very helpful and all staff is willing to help with anything or just to talk. There is a great library with lots of great tools and many places to hunker down to spend hours to study in. Every week, students are sent an email letting us know of all the activities going on for the week.

Academic Experience: The Nursing programs at LSC are pretty strict and the workload is pretty big, but the instructors are so nice and really want you to do well and help you as much as they can. At LSC there is a new "health and sciences building" that is beautiful and has pretty cool simulators to practice on.

Academic Experience: Again, the class loads are pretty great, but the instructors seem to be truly invested in helping you achieve your goals.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Any schooling is going to cost a lot of money. I feel that compared to the last college I went to, the tuition is a lot cheaper. I think that for the amount I am paying, I am receiving a much better education than I was at the other school which was twice as much money!

Online Courses: I have not taken any online classes at LSC so I cannot accurately rate them.

Student Body: There are many different types of students at LSC. There are students just starting out and students who haven't been in school in 10+ years. There are many students originally from different countries. There is an intercultural center at LSC! Everyone can go there and get to know each other.

Academic Flexibility: All of the classes I have had at LSC have been very flexible with my personal schedule. I don't work much because of living at home, but if I did have to work more, the school class times are very reasonable and have many different options.

College Senior

Career Services: I have not really checked out any of the things listed above so I don't know how to rate them. I have not had any need to go to any of them yet.

3 College Sophomore

Online Courses: I am not a fan of online classes just because if I want to ask a question I like to be able to hear an answer right away and not have to wait for the teacher to email me back.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: Transferring from one school to another wasn't a hard process, the counselors helped me get my classes set up for the first semester. They also set up my future semesters so I could see what classes I needed to accomplish before starting my program.

Student Body: We have a very diverse student body at our school and a cultural center to match. We have activities oriented at all areas of students, eg. gay rights. We celebrate Gay Pride Week and I am sure it makes these students feel more a part of everything. I think it is wrong if ANYONE has to hide who they are because they are afraid of what others might think.
I have a couple of women in my class that are mothers and we connect. It makes it a little easier for me hearing how they deal with school, work and children.

Online Courses: I had art history as an online course. I decided to take this course because in my Intro to Architecture course where we learned a bit of Architectural history, I didn't do very well. Taking this course I had more access and exposure to a lot more information and this really helped me a lot. It was a lot of reading and research but I did very well in this course because I was able to move at my own pace.

Campus Quality: The last community college I went to (12 years ago) didn't really have a cultural center of any kind. I like the fact this school does and they have quite a few 'expos' honoring different cultures such as food tasting, clothing etc. There a lot of social activities happening on a weekly basis. I don't have much time to attend these, however, because of being a single parent.

Academic Flexibility: The only problem I have really ran into is being able to stay in the classroom to work on a project because of another class coming in. There are only a few areas in the school that have the program I need to work on my projects with. We have, however, been giving access for free to download a student version of the program but I had to buy a new computer as my other one didn't have enough memory.
