Off-Campus Housing

Off-Campus Housing: I personally live a little further away from the school than most to keep the cost down. I've heard it's convenient as far as proximity to the campus but goes under lots of construction and can be loud at times.

Off-Campus Housing: I've heard from folks that it's much better to just get a couple of roomies and live in a 2 bed apartment than hitting up the dorms. It's cheaper since the dorms are about $900 a month for a shared space, compared to the same shared space for anywhere between $300-$500. Aliso Viejo is a popular area not too far from the school that a lot of my friends live around.

Off-Campus Housing: Because the campus is located in the Laguna Canyon, it makes it difficult for students to live near the campus. Laguna Beach is a pricy area to live in, especially if you are a starving college student.

Off-Campus Housing: Laguna Beach is filled with convenient apartment complexes that are affordable with a comfortable amount of roommates, and much cheaper than housing with the school.

Off-Campus Housing: The city of Laguna Beach is quite small, so there aren't a lot of apartments available. If there are any, they would be on the pricey side because it is in a beach city. In fact, a lot of the apartment complexes in nearby cities can be expensive for students, especially in cities like Newport beach, Aliso Viejo, Irvine, etc. In addition to the time and effort trying to find an apartment in a comfortable price range and maybe even a roommate or two, you're going to have to be okay with driving an average 15-30 minutes to school.
