Local Area: I don't think there's a lot to do where the school is located specifically, but if you have a car, the irvine spectrum is only 10 mins away which is rad. dining around in Laguna is expensive, unless you go to the local whole foods market or up in Aliso Viejo.

Local Area: Laguna Beach – LCAD is located on Laguna Canyon Road, and behind it is a large nature preserve, with hiking trails and beautiful views of the ocean. Down the street is the Saw Dust Festival and the Pageant of the Masters, which is home to the major art festivals in Laguna Beach during the winter and summer seasons. Down the street and up the cost there are dozens of galleries and small stores that are super fun to walk around for a day or night on the town. Laguna Beach is an extremely wealthy and affluent town, and is centrally focused on promoting its art community. Its a fantastic town for art networking. The down side is that it is very expensive to live there if you are a student and traffic is very hard to deal with, because it is popular for tourists, who often are inconsiderate to cars. But if you learn how to get around the side streets and stay off of PCH its not so bad. It is a very fun, cute little town, where everybody knows everybody, and you certainly can't beat being able to WALK to the beach, from your place. Its very safe, even at night. If you've got the money, go for it.
