Health & Safety: very safe environment and campus. security cameras in every class room and all over campus, key card required to enter Big Bend campus. only know of one theft incident in several years and it was someone that took another students cookies in frig.

Health & Safety: There's no need really for police on campus because not a lot goes on here. If anything, we hear sirens because of a car accident on the road to the school /there's a crash every 3 months I swear/.

Health & Safety: With such a small campus, there is no need to feel unsafe. The people and staff at LCAD are so warm and welcoming that I feel no need to be fearful.

Health & Safety: Laid Back and Quiet – Laguna is a relatively secluded beach area and it stays pretty quiet. The campus is very small and tucked away in the quiet corner of a canyon road about 5 minutes up from the beach. The classrooms on the main campus are all accessed from the outside and there are no real hallways. It is very poorly lit at night and sometimes cellphone reception can be really weak which can be kinda creepy late at night. I have never really felt unsafe around campus because Laguna Beach is an affluent neighborhood and very clean. The only problem I have heard of was that in one of my classes a girl reported that someone had offered her money for sex in the parking lot, but I don't know how reliable her claim is.

Health & Safety: Pretty Much Secure – Neither I nor anyone I know has ever had a safety issue at LCAD. The biggest instance of crime occurs about once a semester, when a student borrows school equipment and neglects to tell anyone or return it for a week or two. Small things like pencils and paint left overnight will probably be taken, but belongings like computers and backpacks have always been returned to the front office. Flooding and mudslides can be a problem sometimes since the school is midway down the canyon, but these inconveniences on campus are always reversed before they become a problem for students.
