4 College Sophomore

Athletics: Lagrange is a Division 3 school, and I can say that I am lucky to be a part of the football team. Unlike bigger D1 and D2 schools, we do not get compensated for our athletics. That is saying a lot considering that majority of the school participates in a varsity sport. Over half of the students compete in sports, and many of the other students play intramural sports. The students are our biggest fans since many people on the outside don't appreciate D3 football, but it's just as challenging as any other division. Our sport teams compete at high levels. Golf recently went to the national championship while basketball recently won back to back conference championships. The football team is on the rise as well as volleyball, baseball, softball, and soccer.

Athletics: Student involvement could be better for athletics at my school. However, this year we started our first marching band, so who knows? Maybe that will bring people out to cheer for the teams.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: Athletics at LaGrange is a big deal, everybody here is an athlete or at least that's what is seems like.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: The locker rooms are not what I imagined for division III, and the way certain sports are treated is ridiculous. The school pays attention to two or three sports and pretty much forgets the others.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: Athletics at LaGrange are mostly only important to the athletes. The sports teams are really good for the most part (aside from our football program which is a struggle bus). Most people are athletes because they will get bored will nothing to do otherwise. There isn't a bunch of school spirit, but homecoming and important basketball games are always a good time with lots of students and families to show their support. There are not a good bit of faculty members that are present at games and hold school spirit. Most students school spirit isn't very great, but it is a small school, so that could be normal. Most students at the school seem to be athletes, so athletics are important the school, but only because of the majority of the student body being involved in them.
