3 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: I'm taken and I really associate mainly with the same big group of people everyday. Though a lot of the guys wear sweats and i can see their boxers. That's gross.

3 College Junior

Guys & Girls: Nobody really looks at the view of others. We all just keep to ourselves unless we are hanging with friends.

3 College Junior

Guys & Girls: The guys at my school normally behave as tough men rather than people who are interested in learning and growing into mature adults. The girls like to socialize with each other, sometimes preferring criticism and gossip; but, few seem to be mature ladies. I have, however, met particular guys and girls that I can say were particularly interesting and mature.

Guys & Girls: Don't come here looking for somebody to date, they're only here for one nightstands.

Since attractiveness is a relative term, it is hard to define the exact look of La Roche students. Physically, there are the exceptional few on both ends of the spectrum—the model-looking girl and guy and the homely extreme of both sexes—but generally speaking, students here are just average, everyday people. What seems to truly separate the genders at La Roche is personality. In general, the girls seem to think they are better than everyone else. Many find themselves wrapped up in material possessions, earning the most money at their internships, and snagging the hottest boyfriend. La Roche guys, on the other hand, seem to have a better concept of what it means to accept people for who they are on the inside. Sure, there are some shallow guys who base everything on how someone looks, but for the most part, the guys are much more interested in what lies beneath the skin.

This personality clash between the two genders means sexual promiscuity is at a minimum. It is extremely rare that two La Roche students hook up, so the majority of sexual encounters happen between a resident student and someone from a different school. To sum it up, the guys and girls here have extremes in personality and looks, but from the all-American guy to the tomboy girl, there is someone dateable around every corner.

Social Scene
La Roche is often compared to high school. Students are outgoing until they find their clique, and then they stick with the same few people throughout the years. Student involvement in activities and clubs is very low, yet people complain that there is never anything to do. Drinking and alcohol-related activities have the highest attendance.
Hookups or Relationships?
Most students at La Roche have boyfriends or girlfriends off campus, and many claim that even if they were dating another La Roche student they would keep things off campus because "everyone knows everyone else's business." Random hookups are at a minimum because of the small-school environment.
Best Places to Meet Guys/Girls
The best place to meet people is through class. Since
attendance for activities and clubs is very low, meeting people is harder at La Roche than it seems to be at other colleges.
Dress Code
There is no official dress code at La Roche. Most students dress in business casual clothing. In the winter, it's usually jeans and sweaters or sweatshirts, and in the spring and summer, shorts and T-shirts are the most popular. And of course, pajamas are at the top of the fashion must-have list for those early morning classes!
