Academic Flexibility: My school's frustrations are found in the internet process. It is too slow and cannot handle the small student body that we have. I have not had much help as far as getting answers to my college experience questions. Getting into classes that I need is difficult sometimes. On the other hand, the short drive from my house and the tuition that is cheaper than other schools is helpful in my circumstance.

Overall Experience: I think that I have learned a lot and managed to save some money by not going far away to school. If I had the resources, I would go and travel to my dream school. Given my limited income, I chose to stay close. The school has been rewarding in some ways however.

Overall Experience: My school has all different types of courses, professors and class sizes.

Online Courses: Online classes are convenient because I can do homework while at work. However, it sometimes leads to frustration and some teachers can be hard to reach when you need them. The workloads that I have taken have been feasible and I learned some things from my class.

Student Body: My school's student body is very diverse. We have students from local areas as well as students from far away that are here on a athletic scholarship.

Tuition & Financial Aid: My school takes a while to process financial aid and then when they do, they mail a list of more things that they need. It is frustrating and time consuming. Especially for those who know they do not qualify anyways. My parents are divorced but both are remarried. Each household makes too much for me to qualify for financial aid. However, none of their money goes to my schooling. I receive room and board from my parents, but I am struggling to put myself through school.

Academic Experience: One of the most frustrating things about my school is the registration process. They open it online to all students at once and so everyone logs in at once. The schools system cannot handle everyone at once, therefore many people do not get classes that they want or even need. The faculty, for the most part, is nice and helpful. The classes all vary in workload and curriculum depending on the instructor. I think my school offers a lot overall.

Campus Resources: I played softball for two years at my college and it was rewarding. Our school provides a study room with tutors for athletes and non-athletes as well. There is always small events going on such as free food with final studying and stations set up from outside vendors. Our library is very nice and quiet, which makes for a good resource. The campus as a whole is very welcoming and comforting.

Academic Flexibility: There are early morning classes all the way to late night classes. Scheduling was no problem.

Overall Experience: I chose this school because it is close to where i live and its supposed to have a really good Nursing Program

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The teachers are knowledgeable and really like what they do and are very helpful. Class sizes are a little big for my liking (30 students). I love my lab classes.

Overall Experience: There are recruters that come to campus.

Student Body: a lot of ghetto people.

Tuition & Financial Aid: When you qualify for Financial Aid its great. they pay for your classes and books and most people still have money left over which gets sent to you in a check. If you don't qualify for finanicial aid, it is EXPENSIVE! But its nice that they have a payment plan to work with you.

Career Services: There is supposed to be a really good Nursing program.

Academic Experience: A lot of people have some kind of hatred for Kishwaukee College, and I don't know where that comes from. They have a student work program, the counslers are helpful, the teachers know their stuff and there is a learning skills center where you can get help with material you don't understand or just get some extra study time in with classroom materials. ex; for A&P they have a skeleton, bones, a skull, muscle and tissue slides with a microscope you can use. Its very helpful.

Academic Experience: Registration is easy, its online but sometimes slow because so many people are trying to register at one time. There is a waitlist avaliable if one of your classes fills up before you can register for it. The email system is very helpful also, they keep you up to date on activities, job fairs, registration status, GPA, and a lot more online.

Campus Resources: Kishwaukee College is out in the middle of nowhere so its a drive for most people, unless you live in the tiny town of Malta. The school has a nice library, and good sized computer lab. Half the school recently got remodeled so thats nice. Don't know much about the activities or sports.

Academic Flexibility: I am a student who is going through a unique program at the school in order to provide dual credit. For that reason, I have virtually no flexibility in my schedule, but I love this opportunity anyways. The classes are difficult, but my major of study is also a major hurdle that I chose. I have had some frustrations with teachers who had little experience teaching the material, but self-learning is still viable. Transferring credits is relatively easy; all I need to do is pay five dollars, fill out their transcript form, and turn it in. Overall, my experience has been satisfactory.

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: For a community college it is a little more expensive then other schools.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: All of my professors I had so far are great teachers. Class registration process is very easy and a quick process. There is also work study available to those who qualify.

4 College Junior

Student Body: My school is very diverse which is great

Campus Resources: The learning skills center and the library are great places on campus to focus and study

Overall Experience: Kishwaukee Community College is a perfect fit for anyone wanting to get the Associates degree before transferring to a 4-year college.
