Off-Campus Dining: I love eating off campus, the food is all very good. I haven't really had a bad experience once yet! There should be more places like this on campus that I can use my meal plan with!!

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: There is just about anything you want.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: There are a lot of really great places around, the problem is that they get repetitive and old fairly quickly.

Easily one of the best aspects of the town of Kent is the restaurants, eateries, and cafés that sprinkle its streets. Being a small college town, many of these places are locally and independently owned, and each offers its own unique atmosphere and food. Of course, the unadventurous can take refuge in the standard chain restaurants and fast food venues, but Kent's local dining scene is something that all should take advantage of during their time in the area.

Kent's restaurants range in style, with some being well-suited for date night and others lending themselves to more clamorous crowds. In addition to great eateries, there are several independent coffee shops brimming with local charm and great roasts. Though some places are pricier than others, each venue knows that it must cater to the limited budgets of University students. The future looks to bring even more great local places to Kent, as the University and town work to revitalize and better connect students to local establishments. It is to each student's advantage to dedicate time to exploring Kent's local dining; there are some real gems to be discovered, and eating off campus can be a great way to break the monotony that can occur from eating solely on-campus fare.
