Scholarships: I suggest future students ensure they fill out FASFA by the deadline their school requires. I missed the deadline and am now unable to get any financial aid.

Scholarships: For the most part the financial aid area has gone without any hassles.

Scholarships: I haven't had any problems receiving my financial aid. While the "higher one card" can be a bit confusing, there aren't any major issues.

Scholarships: It's normally not too bad, just expect it to come last minute. The financial aid office has always been pretty helpful. I only ever had one problem and it was the first (and only) time I applied for a loan online. It said that my application was successfully completed and that I would receive a loan, but as the weeks went by and no check came, I got worried enough to check on it. It turned out that you have to be enrolled in a certain number of hours to get a loan, and there was no indication of that (that I saw) on the website. I feel like they could make that more clear, as well as the fact that the Hope Scholarship and grants like the Pell are also given in percentages based on the amount of classes you take.

Scholarships: I have received the HOPE scholarship, but I feel like financial aid at KSU is not very prominent. They only offer loans that you don't want to accept, and after entering an application for their scholarship, it's never heard of again. After filling out FASFA, there's nothing more they know or can do to help. I feel that middle class families really struggle with aid, because we're stable enough to live; but that does not mean we're easily able to pay for school.
