Overall Experience: good college experience but needs to provide better and more housing opportunities

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: The class sizes are excellent, and student success is definitely a priority. Campus safety and awareness is top notch, and the housing options are variable. I have only been with KSU for two weeks, but so far I would definitely choose KSU all over again. The dance program is blossoming, and the professors are attentive and very involved, and enthusiastic to teach.

Overall Experience: I have been at KSU for 3 years now. The campus is beautiful and the majority of the staff are great. My biggest problems with KSU are 1) they are slow to get back to you if you have an issue with something, 2) parking is a nightmare! 3) they take forever to open facilities that they are improving (I.e. The gym)

Overall Experience: Kennesaw State is a very hectic school. The worst part is parking, I have to leave an hour earlier than I would normally leave for class. The classes are ok, there isn't much leeway in textbook choices because the teachers require the latest editions, and the tuition is outrageous. The teachers are WONDERFUL. They are so helpful and they answer the questions I have with so much enthusiasm.

Overall Experience: I went to two other colleges before Kennesaw State University. I went to Furman University in 2012 and my GPA was good but it was too expensive and the school didn't try to help me stay. So after being out of school for a year I decided to go to a school in my home state which I landed at Darton that school was okay but it didn't offer the major I was trying to acquire. Thankfully a few friends who are attending Kennesaw told me that the Asian Studies program would be offered as a major this fall. So I took my chances and applied and I was accepted. So far so good for the first week in school.

Overall Experience: Still adjusting to the campus but overall, it's nice.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: My school is close to me and fits my needs very well. Since KSU recently merged with SPSU, the engineering degree I'm pursuing is more accustomed to this college, since SPSU was well known for their engineering programs (technical school). I would still choose my school again because I have the ease of being close to it so that I can commute, and like I said the environment for learning is very suited to my needs. My school is unique to me because of the band program. I really enjoy playing, creating, and listening to music. And the environment created at KSU is very friendly and very fun to be apart of.

Overall Experience: I absolutely love it here at Kennesaw State so far! The campus is beautiful, all of my professors are really great people to get to know, and the overall convenience of the school is what is really making this an amazing experience for me. If I could do it again, I probably would choose this school again, except I might not live on campus because it can get pretty expensive.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I love how laid back Kennesaw State is. It is very diverse and welcoming. It's a very homey environment!

Overall Experience: I can't say it's the worst since it hasn't had its accreditation revoked yet, however I can say that many of the campus personnel and employees are terribly unprofessional. Parking is absolutely horrendous and is not handled properly; it's a disgrace for a university to be this terrible in this aspect. Academic advisors for the most part are extremely unhelpful, with a few exceptions to advisors who actually care about their students.

Kennesaw's professors are a blessing to the University and are the best part of the school. The campus is extremely well-kempt and is held to high standards, however this school is growing too fast for its pants size; its seams are about to burst. Many students commute and struggle to find a place to live on-campus, this is very apparent in a percentage standpoint.

There are not enough classes open for the STEM population, it's an absolute rush to get into a chemistry class alone and you are NOT guaranteed a spot even with a bad professor. Saturday classes are a guarantee if you get a late sign-up for lab.

Overall I'm pretty disappointed with the university itself and its management, but not the professors' performance. All of my professors have been wonderful. Some very very hard, but amazing.

Overall Experience: this is my first semester at this school, but I know multiple people who attend or attended this university & they say it's amazing.

Overall Experience: My undergraduate experience at Kennesaw State University was very positive and when it was time to attend graduate school, I knew KSU was one of my top school selections. The professors were knowledgeable and brought real life situations to the classroom. KSU does have quirks, but overall, it is a great university.

Overall Experience: I absolutely love my school. The staff and students are incredibly kind, the curriculum is challenging but not overwhelming, the campus is beautiful, and there is so much to do on and around campus. One of the best choices I have ever made was deciding to come to Kennesaw State University for college.

Overall Experience: I would choose my school again, because I had one of the best orchestra teachers in the county, Jennifer Floyd. In addition I didn't have a lot of competition with my class considering academic, and with the fine arts.

Overall Experience: Originally, I was attending Southern Polytechnic State University, but the Board of Regents merged us with Kennesaw State under their name. I feel uncomfortable merging with a non-technical school because I feel that hurts my chances of being hired by a potential employer under my major. I plan to stay on the same campus as before so my college experience would be the same as anyone else who attended SPSU in the past, but forever disappointed with the lingering Kennesaw banners.

Overall Experience: I love Kennesaw State. It's such a big campus that you have to grow confidence. If you don't check out your classes before hand, you will for sure end up asking someone to help you find a class. So, if you are a shy person, KSU will definitely get you out of that shyness. Plus, everyone is friendly and the food on campus is great.

Overall Experience: Kennesaw is without a doubt, a great school. The professors I have had so far, did not fail to make sure the students grasped the subjects they taught and they made sure I did my best. The atmosphere at school is really great, there are typically fun and lively events almost every two weeks. We had yoga on the green a couple of times, the farmers market on Wednesdays is fun as well. I absolutely love hanging out in the commons with my friends and enjoying the great cuisine Kennesaw provides every day. The only problem I might have is the price of housing, it is quite expensive, but it is apartment style so it's almost okay or worth it. The walk to the different classes is also great. Everyone is friendly.

Overall Experience: I was a transfer student coming into Kennesaw State University. I must admit the transition from coming from a university of 7,000 to a university with almost 4x the students seemed more than overwhelming. But the transition could not have gone any more smoothly with the help of counselors and advisers.
