Campus Housing: Kennesaw State University's housing system is different in that they're all like apartments. However the prices are so ridiculous that I have to move back home for next Fall. I hate how your dorm room lease doesn't end until July, so even if you're an out of state student and you move back for the summer, you'll still be paying rent when you're not even living there. The worst option available is KSU Place, because those are the apartments on campus but they're in poor conditions; even the pictures online look bad, and they are the farthest from everything on campus. I would hate to have to walk to class from that residence.

Off-Campus Housing: I have not lived in the off-campus housing provided. However, every place is expensive. Realistically, apartments should be less than what I'm paying in my dorm right now. I would've wanted to live in the newest off-campus housing, but it's just not reasonable; therefore, I am moving back home and will have to commute this Fall.

Party Scene: I always have school as a priority over socializing, but having a social life is a big part of the college experience. I don't feel like Kennesaw State gives us an opportunity to do so. Every party/kickback I've ever been to has been shut down simply because it was a party. (Nothing bad has ever happened) I haven't enjoyed a party at my school yet. Greek life is barely existent on campus. They don't even have Greek houses near the school. I think the only way to be a KSU student and have fun would be to have a car and no of other places to go.

Off-Campus Dining: I don't really go to a lot of places to eat off campus, because I don't have reliable transportation, and I prefer not to eat out much. However, I feel like the variety is nice and decent. There's a lot of strips with restaurants available. I believe every place within at least a 5 mile distance should offer discounts, whether it's food or retail.

Administration: I think the level of strictness is pretty good, because it's realistic. We're becoming adults, so we need to be responsible for our own decisions. However the noise level in dorms is pretty ridiculous, and I had a Resident Assistant that was non-existent. His room was close to the residents that always blasted music, but the situation was never handled. I think that the strictness for social gatherings is a little to strict however. A social gathering will only go on for twenty minutes before a police officer shuts it down.

Scholarships: I have received the HOPE scholarship, but I feel like financial aid at KSU is not very prominent. They only offer loans that you don't want to accept, and after entering an application for their scholarship, it's never heard of again. After filling out FASFA, there's nothing more they know or can do to help. I feel that middle class families really struggle with aid, because we're stable enough to live; but that does not mean we're easily able to pay for school.

Campus Food: I can understand why freshman living on campus get a lot of swipes and dining dollars, but I hate how low the meal plan turns once you become a sophomore (Only like 7-14 swipes for a semester!) I think that's ridiculous. The commons is the only food location on campus open during the day on the weekends, and in the Carmichael Student center, you have to pay for drink refills. Why have meal swipes and dining dollars? Why not just pay for one and allow them to work for all campus eateries. It's the same ID card used.

Off-Campus Housing: It is very expensive, and almost not worth renting from some of the off-campus housing. The apartments off campus are close to campus, so walking is a viable option for a number of students.

3 College Sophomore

Administration: Academic policies are strict, but for good reason.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: In my experience, the only financial aid offered to me and many of my colleagues is through loans. Scholarships offered by the individual colleges associated with the university are few and far between with a lack of understood importance of students' needs and talents.

3 College Sophomore

Party Scene: I don't party often, but I constantly hear horror stories about excessive drug use at said parties.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Most of the restaurants off campus offered student discounts, but have since discontinued discounts. There is limited variety, and students almost always have to drive to get food off campus. A positive aspect of off the off campus dining, is that most places deliver.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Food: Generally, the food is quality, however, most of the customer service is not. The food is generally overpriced for the quality and quantity.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Living on campus is convenient and comfortable. It is rather expensive for minimal amenities. Living on campus requires students to purchase large and expensive meal plans with no exceptions.

3 College Student

Party Scene: Greek life has great parties

3 College Student

Off-Campus Dining: I don't really have an opinion on this matter

3 College Student

Administration: I have not had much experience with the administration

2 College Student

Scholarships: The scholarship deadline was too early and not much information was given so I missed out on the opprotunity

3 College Student

Campus Food: There is a variety of food, but the freshmen meal plan is so expensive. They should give us more swipes for that much money

5 College Student

Campus Housing: It's spacious and newly built so it feels like a new apartment and not an old smelly dorm room

Off-Campus Housing: I always had a place.

3 College Sophomore

Party Scene: I do not go to parties.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: I usually eat at home.

4 College Sophomore

Administration: It's a very clean and well kept campus.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Easy to do the single application for all scholarships, but making it so easy allows everyone to do so. Less likely you are chosen.
