I am very pleased with my decision to attend Kenall College. I used to think that going to college was not an option for me, and that was partly because I did not know the first thing about applying and enrolling into a college. Kendall College's enrollment advisors are the best! They really get to know you and help you through every step of the way. They make sure you understand everything you are doing and if you need help, they make themselves readily available. The teachers are fair and understanding. Also, the online courses are great!

Academic but Not Recognizable – The problem with Kendall's program for ECE is that no one knows about it, and I've been giving blank looks when I try to apply for work or even to request cooperation with fieldwork.

The other problem is that many of the teachers are incommunicado or don't respond in a timely manner. They are also unfeeling when students are ill; some are so rigid that, while I understand the late work policy, there is late for being lazy and there is late for other, valid reasons, like a valid illness.

I also feel that there is entirely too much writing, which is my strong suit, so it's not challenging enough. I also think that there should be strong writing requirements. I have seen classmates who are writing things that I would flunk them for automatically because of their sentence structure and grammar. I want to do more hands on work and fieldwork, along with written work and quizzes and tests to assess my knowledge. I love to write, but really? Give me a challenge!

I have been to several colleges throughout my life and when I found Kendall, I knew it was right. It fit from the moment I started talking to my first advisor. At that time I could not afford to go to Kendall so I finished many general eduction credits at another school. I was finally able to go back to Kendall and have never regretted it or thought it was too expensive for a second. My Kendall "Counselor" calls me often to check in and see if all is well. If I ever have any issues she fixes them immediatly and calls back to make sure everything was done to my satisfaction. The teachers are ALL knowlegeable and fun and they want to be here to teach us. That is a FAR cry from the teacher at all the other colleges I have been to. This makes all the difference in the world. The other students all seem happy and excited to get where they are going and do not drudge thru classes and assignments as in most other places.
The atmosphere and overall experience and knowledge of all the staff at Kendall has made my experiences thus far tremendous!
