The average student at Kaplan University is very smart and working toward a career. The students carry their own weight and also help others along the way through discussion board posts. So, if you do not fully understand something, ask your fellow students! The students come from different backgrounds, which brings a variety of perspectives to the online discussions. Everyone acts very professional and respects one another in the online environment, which is a requirement of Kaplan University’s ethics.

Students who attend Kaplan are busy with their everyday lives, and it seems like going to college while dealing with the realities of life makes students focus more on their goals, rather than drama, which might happen more at a traditional brick-and-mortar college. Students are not in competition with one another in the online environment—they are here to learn and share the knowledge of their experiences with others.
