Online Courses: I have not taken an online course before but in general, the online work for the classes is very helpful.

Career Services: I was somewhat prepared from certain classes and teachers but overall the professors are helpful if I need something clarified.

Overall Experience: The courses that I am taking are fulfilling my academic experience and I am receiving the education I need for my career in the future.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Students take the value of a degree to a high extent. It is valued to have a degree and being successful outside of this school in the future.

Academic Experience: I am receiving a great education and experience. I have been pushed to my best ability and the professors are more than willingly wanting to help with any questions or information the students needs clarified.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: Some of the classes here are somewhat limited and is difficult to enroll in because I have other classes to take. For example, I was planning on taking a math and science course, but I couldn't take both because their times conflicted with each other and there were no other similar section numbers to take.

3 College Sophomore

Online Courses: I've never taken an online course. The answers above are answers I've heard from students who took online courses. However, I will be taking an online course next semester and I chose to mostly because of it's convenience. I prefer to not go to class and instead complete all of my assignments at home.

3 College Sophomore

Career Services: Because I'm no a post-grad student, I'm not sure how their services are.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Which ever school you go to, there will always be your good and bad teachers. I've had my share of both, but mostly on the good side. A benefit of community colleges is that their classes tend to be smaller, which makes it easier to communicate with instructors and instructors seem to care more for their students.

2 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: KCC does offer career fairs but they show unpopular careers or careers that does not require an education; if they present that then what's the point in attending school.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: At UH Manoa I'll be majoring in public health. I believe this is a new program to the university and it rapidly became a popular major. What I don't understand for all majors is why do we (students) have to take an excessive amount of classes that doesn't pertain to our major. All of these classes are unnecessary and it's a burden for us because we are paying for useless courses that won't help us in the future. Yes some of the classes can be interesting to us but it shouldn't be mandatory to take them.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Since this is a community college, the classes are a lot smaller which gives students the opportunity to closely interact with their instructors. The teachers are easily accessible outside of class and they do truly care about their students.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: My school is very convenient, first off the campus is located close to my house which makes going to school very easy because I don't have to deal with traffic. Secondly classes are great when it comes to scheduling.

3 College Junior

Online Courses: I haven't taken an online course yet. I have one during this upcoming semester. I really hope that the rumors are true when they say that they are great with busy lives.

3 College Junior

Career Services: I haven't really done much research into that topic but I feel like the career center, alumni network, and the job prospects are good. My chefs have a lot of connections and they really want to set you up with a job if you are trying your best. Other than that I don't really know what more the school has to offer but I will definitely do more research.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: Professors at the school are very helpful, and they are very knowledgeable. I doubted KCC at first because it was a community college but now that I go there, my mind has opened to the opportunities that I can strive for. Not only that but I also feel at home. There is a sense of Ohana when you walk onto that campus. I love that!

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: For my field there are a lot of opportunities. I feel like every single week there is some extra class or some volunteer activity that is offered to use that not only gives us scholarship points but it also gives us experience. I really love that about my field. Overall I think it is okay, but it definitely isn't bad.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: My program is very hard. Culinary arts is not to be taken lightly at this school. KCC has gathered some of the greatest chefs and put them all under one roof. This program really knows what they are teaching.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I am in the Culinary Arts and their program is amazing. I mean all the teachers are always available to help you tune your skills and become a better chef. I am also taking math and they are just as helpful I mean my teacher takes extra time outside of the regular class time to help you out with homework. Teachers at KCC are great.

3 College Student

Academic Flexibility: My experience at school has been very great knowing that I'm still going to school in Hawaii and being closer to home and also knowing that I have support from everyone.

3 College Student

Online Courses: My experience of online courses are alright because you don't really get that one-on-one experience with professors so it's hard.

4 College Student

Career Services: The quality at KCC is very helpful because they let you know specific things that you are graded on and everything else.

3 College Student

Overall Experience: Your professors are not always there to remind you to help you, so basically you have to put in time to go in for help and ask them questions about it. You take responsibility in what you learn so they're great at KCC.
