Overall Experience: KVCC is a great school to start off at. So far the experience has been great. My classes are all in order, and I have not had any issues with anything. I am pleased.

Overall Experience: The things that bother me the most is policy changes and that financial aid is unfair when it come to student verification , it sometimes make me think that there is only a certain kind of student who always have to provide verification. Plus it's a headache to get the information needed because some students don't live with parents. And there is no other options to provide different forms of verification. The financial part makes you want to quit school.

Overall Experience: KVCC is a typical community college by most standards. However if you are willing to make an extra effort in class or discuss things with your instructors, you will be rewarded. Most instructors understand that their typical students have responsibilities beyond school such as work and family, so they are usually understanding and accommodating. It's not the prettiest or most technologically advanced school but most of the classes are situated to give you knowledge that will apply as you further your academic career or when applying for a job in differing fields catered towards an Associates degree. The staff is usually helpful, but it can be difficult finding answers to questions you may have, so you kind of have to be your own advocate. Overall my experience has been good while I am looking to transfer to a 4-year university.

Academic Experience: The professors at Kalamazoo Valley Community College really know what they're talking about and teach their subject in a way that most everyone understands. Registering for classes is simple and I most always get into the classes I want even if I register late.

Campus Resources: I currently attend Kalamazoo Valley Community College, and the campus is fantastic. It has a big library that looks out into the woods, an almost brand new Fitness Center and awesome faculty that really care about you and your college career.
