Academic Flexibility

3 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: The flexibility is not very great. Classes get filled in fast and there's no more room for my schedule to be set at the right times I need.

5 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: Jones County Junior College is a very flexible and user friendly environment.

Academic Flexibility: I am not in an extracurricular activities, but I do have a job and my job works around my school schedule

Academic Flexibility: For music educators there is a test that you take in addition to the classes you take at the college you are transferring from. It is a proficiency that evaluates what you did or did not learn. There is one for music theory and another for ear training. I had a B in both classes at JCJC but I did not pass the ear training portion of the proficiency. I told the ear training teacher that some of the parts on the test we had not seen in class. He said, "I know. The class moved slower than I had expected, so it was not covered." BECAUSE it was not covered I did not pass that section and I now have to take all theory one and two and ear training one and two over again because I was not prepared by the teachers at Jones County Junior College. When I tried to get help from them they would not help me, and when me and my peers told him this he did not accept responsibility. Half of the transfer students failed the ear training portion. I wish there was some form of a penalty for him because I have wasted time with these courses when I was not prepared to advance on. STUDENT BEWARE.

Academic Flexibility: My class schedule is very laid back so far. I did not get a job so anytime for any classes were fine with me.
