Local Area: Providence is a city that only seems to run during the school year. There are a lot of college events and activities because Johnson & Wales, Brown, Providence College are pretty close to each other. This gives students the ability to network and have the ability to experience different atmospheres from each school zone. Johnson & Wales and Brown University is known for its diversity and many foreign students which brings culture, different views and ideas to the city and the students. The only down side about the school is how far apart each campus, building, dorms are from each other making it unsafe for students to walk. However, the school does have a lot of cameras, safety buttons incase of an emergency, overnight bus schedules and safety buses in order to reduce the risk.
