5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The class sizes for academics are good but when it comes to the labs I believe that there should be less students or at least one more chef in the kitchen so that everyone gets the help that they need. The labs its self are freat because in the course of the 9 days you are able to learn so much.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The school provides a lot of outlets for the students to succeed while they are in school. They push each student to succeed because they know that we are capable of doing great thing.

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: Safety and security are always there to prevent issues and provide help at times

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Living in the dorms gives students a perfect opportunity to mingle. They way that it is set up, you have at least 2 neighbors depending on the location of your room and you will see them a lot. Also there is always something to do in the dorm halls.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: Everyone is super supportive. No matter where the games are you will always see the students and staff members cheering for our team.

3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Providence Rhode Island is a big city so reasonable precautions need to be taken which would be typical of all cities. The campus does have security officers and provides a bus almost 24/7 to accommodate students for transportation.

Overall Experience: The culinary arts program focus on the skills that you need to work in the field. It is one of the top culinary schools in the world and the only school that incorporates nutrition. It is required that you do internships prior to graduations so that you have experience working in your field before you graduate. The school is very helpful in finding students an internship and a job in your field after graduation.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The labs are full fun and you learn a lot in the 9 days that you are there. The chefs there are completely dedicated to their field and their students. They will do anything to help a student succeed.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I do not live on campus but the campus is set up so that you will usually live near all of your classes. Culinary art students and some other majors have the option to live together in the same building. Dorms and apartments are pricey compared to living off campus.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: I do not participate in Greek life. Our campus does not allow alcohol, drugs or tobacco so Johnson & Wales does not have the out of control party scene that is typical at other colleges.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: The equestrian activities and hockey are my personal favorites. There is much school involvement in physical activities. The gym facilities are great for keeping in shape. The outdoor facilities are very new for outdoor sports. Team spirit seems high. Team performance could be better when compared to other colleges I have been to but they are still good and entertaining to participate in.

Overall Experience: My school is the only school in the world that combines culinary art and nutrition. Nutrition is so important. The classes are small for individual attention. The school is located in a great city that has been great opportunities in the culinary arts field and many others. The school is well diverted to give students an opportunity to learn from other students from many different cultures.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I really enjoy the classes that I attend here. I have learned many new techniques in my field

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I thought my sophomore internship was great. It was nice being away from home and getting to work in the industry.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: I have never felt unsafe on campus.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: The freshman dorms are probably the worst. Once you pass through higher grades, the housing gets better. It does get v very expensive though.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: I have heard of some hazing incidents involving Greek life. I don't know much about it since I am not interested in it.

3 College Junior

Athletics: I know many fellow students that involve themselves with athletics. Personally, I am not one of those students.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: The type of classes my school offers are unique. I would love to do it all over again because I learned many things and met so many great people. I made connections and that is what's important.

4 College Sophomore

Party Scene: Parties every weekend. The clubs surrounding the campus and the frat parties.

4 College Sophomore

Party Scene: You will make lots of friends.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: The professors and courses are very interesting.

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: I see many people drunk on the weekends due to the parties around campus.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I loved my freshman year experience in Johnson & Wales. I may not have put myself out there as much but I certainly want to try my sophomore year.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I am not able to do any internships at the moment because of pre-requisites but I believe that's for everyone.
