5 College Junior

Overall Experience: It is one of the best school experiences that I could imagine. My dorm has been one of the most forming experiences in my life; my best buds there will stay friends with me for the rest of our lives. I even met my girlfriend there. The teachers are brilliant, and take timeout of their off-duty hours to personally help you succeed. The president of the school is loved by all; we are loyal to him.

Overall Experience: I love how everyone is so welcoming of the freshman and goes out of their way to make JBU home.

Campus Housing: I love living on campus, it is so much fun. Everybody is friendly and the RA's are great.

Off-Campus Housing: Students are only allowed to live off campus if they meet the many requirements--therefore, it is expensive and unfortunate for the rest of the student population.

2 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: There are mostly fast-food restaurants around campus.

3 College Sophomore

Administration: They are strict, but most people obey the rules so there is little conflict.

Scholarships: I was granted more scholarship from JBU than any other school I applied to.

Campus Food: The quality of the food is good, but there is not a large variety to choose from.

Campus Housing: The students on campus are friendly, but there is not much to do in the evenings or on weekends.

Majors: I love the Construction Management program, the teachers are great and really teach you a lot about the field of study we are planning on going into.

Majors: Internships vary widely from commercial construction in the field or office to residential construction and even international missions internships. Pay varies with the job but all jobs offer great unique experiences.

Overall Experience: Most professors are very great at teaching their subject. Best professors usually are in your major courses. They are very knowledgable and care about your learning and creating a relationship with you.

Overall Experience: For my major (Construction Management) companies come to visit us to interview with us and most of us have had two internships by the time we graduate.

3 College Senior

Campus Housing: Housing options are good, rooms are generally small but it instills a good sense of community and allows for growth in friendships. Most buildings are new or recently renovated.

4 College Senior

Health & Safety: Campus security is very active on campus and does a great job at keeping everything safe and quiet around campus.

5 College Senior

Scholarships: The Financial Aid office is very helpful with trying to find scholarships for you and seeing how you can apply for more aid. They are also very friendly and want the best for you.

Local Area: Siloam Springs is a great small town. They are very supportive of students and Main Street is a fun place to be throughout the year.

4 College Senior

Athletics: Athletics is a big part of John Brown University. Most athletes get scholarships and do very well in classes. Club sports are also a huge part of campus, these include Ultimate Frisbee and Rugby. Ultimate Frisbee has gone to DIII Nationals twice in the past two years

Party Scene: Parties are not important to most people at John Brown University. There are so many other things to do rather than drink and it is against our school covenant to drink alcohol if you are on campus or under 22 years of age.

Campus Housing: I live in the oldest dorm on campus so my dorm is slightly outdated compared to the rest of resident life. However, the university updates building frequently and keeps them beautiful. My dorm is close to campus, really relaxing, and very social. There is great community life in my dorm as well as great respectfulness for dorm mates. The RAs are very personal and really drive each hall's social atmosphere.

Local Area: Siloam Springs is rated one of the best small towns in the Nation and it has lived up to it. Its the sweetest little town I have ever seen. The shops downtown are really friendly, unique, and eventful. There are many city events and festivals which most of the college students attend. So far it has been such a homie and relaxing stay.

Athletics: I have really enjoyed the sports teams and athletic events. However, I think JBU should expand their sports facilities and sports teams. A lot more students would attend JBU if the school had more athletic programs such as track and field, swimming, ect.

Scholarships: The financial advisors are great! They really helped me a lot and made college possible for me. I would suggest that students consult them frequently.

Off-Campus Dining: very nice and cheap local restaurants
