4 College Freshman

Transportation: The buses are sometimes pack but they are always running all day long

4 College Sophomore

Transportation: The Gamecock Express, the oncampus busline, is generally nice to use. The drivers, save about two or three, are generally pretty nice and will chat with you should conversation arise. The main thing wrong with the GX is that certain routes (namely the red, white and blue routes) have sections which are poorly planned out. Don't blame the drivers, though- it's not their fault. The buses themselves are a little bumpy and A/C doesn't work in some of the older ones, but when everything's working the A/C is lovely, and usually the drivers have the radio on. Expect to hear classic rock, R and B, soul, or country, depending on the driver.

4 College Junior

Transportation: The campus shuttle is great and a lot of students use in as some buildings are off from the main campus/quad area. At the time you get on its free, but I'm sure we pay for it at some point during general school fees. The only thing we the shuttle is it's not the fastest getting across campus, so to use it you better not be a few minutes away from class starting.

The town of Jacksonville is extremely small so there's no trouble finding your way around in your own transportation.

2 College Sophomore

Transportation: It is not easy getting around outside of campus. But on campus is easy.

4 College Sophomore

Transportation: The transportation is great, long distance not so much because the people who go to this school don't live to far from it.

On any given weekday, big white buses can be seen all around campus, on the square downtown, and even in the local Walmart parking lot and other shopping centers. You don't have to look much further than the big red letters on the side to see where these buses come from or what they do. The "Gamecock Express" buses are the transit system of Jacksonville State University, and they run from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. to get JSU students where they need to go when they need to get there. Unlimited acess to these buses is included in every student's tuition. Just show your offical JSU student ID, and you will get a free and comfortable ride to almost anywhere in town.
