3 College Junior

Greek Life: Greek life seems to be pretty fun. I'm non Greek however

5 College Sophomore

Greek Life: Greek life has made my college experience amazing

3 College Junior

Greek Life: Sororities and Fraternities seem to set up a lot of events around campus, which is a good thing. I do not believe there are housing options for sororities at Jacksonville State University.

4 College Student

Greek Life: While we have Greek Life at JSU I am not involved in it. However, I have never heard any bad things about the Greek Life on campus. In fact, anything I have ever heard about the great life is gererally positive.

5 College Freshman

Greek Life: I am personally a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority on campus and I LOVE IT! JSU is a smaller 4-year, so we don't have many sororities or fraternities. But what we do have is amazing. There are always sheet signs up on campus to announce events and people from all over school come and join us! It is amazing and every organization raises thousands for their philanthropy.

Watch any movie or television show about college life and you're going to see frat boys and sorority girls, but the media might have given you the wrong idea about what Greek life is all about. Academic excellence is an important part of being Greek. To attend recruitment, you must have a minimum 2.0 GPA. Statistics show that Greek students earn higher grades and hold more leadership positions compared to non-Greeks on campus.

The Greek community also does great things for the community, such as fundraisers for great causes and volunteering their time. Plus, Greeks have a built-in support system and social network, which is extremely helpful especially for freshmen and transfer students.
