3 College Sophomore

Academics: Teachers in the science department can be very hit or miss. Generally the biology department is very nice, though.

3 College Freshman

Academics: I'm a Family and Consumer Science major so my classes are good.

3 College Freshman

Academics: The best place to study is the library in my opinion. My professors are great and do not mind helping the students. My registration process was okay.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: The professors are really great, with a well-rounded curriculum. The registration process is a little annoying, but it isn't a deal breaker.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: The Teacher Education Program at JSU is wonderful. The staff is professional, and they expect the best from their students. It can be unorganized at times, but most schools will be from time to time. I have enjoyed my time in Ramona Wood Building.

Some people say that JSU stands for "Just Show Up," but this is only partly true. It is extrmely important to show up for all of your classes, but there is more required of you if you plan to be sucessful.

Reading is something you will be doing a lot of, as well as homework assignments. Although, unlike high school, most of the time professors won't even look at your homework. Do it anyway, though, because it will help you do well on your tests. Professors at JSU are friendly, and they will work with you if you are struggling in a class. Also, tutouring is available if you need it. Just talk to your academic adviser.
