Sports at Jackson State overpower any other organization on campus. Each sport receives tremendous support from the community, students, faculty, and staff. Alumni and other fans cheer the team to victory, but whether win or lose, they stand behind the Mighty Tigers.

Every student has an equal chance to join an intramural sport of their choice. Many students who did not reach the varsity level in high school have the chance to join a team and compete against other teams to earn their title.
