Jackson State University is an amazing choice if you're looking to attend an HBCU. Based on my personal and academic experiences, JSU is one of the best HBCU's in the country! Though we tend to be overlooked by prospective students across the country, Jackson State has the tradition, academics, and social life that many high school seniors and college transfers would appreciate. I highly recommend THEE Jackson State University to everyone during their college search.

Being a Graphic Design major at JSU is pretty cool. JSU art department is pretty well put together. The workload of being an art major is pretty tough. People think being an art major is easy but it is not. Art is expensive! Having to buy different supplies, canvases, and paints per assignment hits your wallet hard. There are many opportunities within our department. My biggest issue with JSU is how there are no scholarships for art majors whatsoever! That really concerns me and my fellow art major colleagues. I really hope that changes soon.

I am in love with my HBCU! Jackson State University has to be the best decision I made in furthering my education. Everything about this university screams "The Place to Become a Better Me". I love my dorm lie, my friends, my classes, my cafeteria (though the options can get boring), the professors, the administration, and the overall life here at JSU. I love my college and I am glad I chose it.
