3 College Freshman

Online Courses: I have not taken a traditional online course. I have, however, taken a class in which all of the assignments, quizzes, and journal entries were all done online. The professor provided us with all the instructions online so it made it very easy to do assignments. The resources that were also needed were online and they were user-friendly to navigate.

College Freshman

Academic Experience: Because I intend to transfer to another 4-year college or university, I do not have a major in Ivy Tech. I do intend to major Kinesiology once I transfer. Until then, I am completing pre-requisite courses for my major at Ivy Tech.

Academic Experience: I believe that Ivy Tech Community College offers a decent range of courses that can be taken. I do believe that the rigor of these courses are also on par with the rigor offered at other 4-year colleges and universities. I think that Ivy Tech does also offer a good amount of student help in the form of tutoring and helping sessions. Professors that I have been enrolled under have generally seemed helpful with students' questions. Registering for classes is a seamless endeavor. Generally I do this without aid from my advisor.

Overall Experience: My overall experience with Ivy Tech has been a great experience. The main frustration that I have is that admission is only half the cost and they don't tell you that. I expected to pay for books and supplies but not as equal to more than a credit hour. If you don't have money for books, they are NOT available for you to read for periods of time to catch up on your reading. Your either out of luck or may be able to barrow a book from someone. Having read that the number one reason people drop out of college is books and having experienced almost doing it myself ,I think the policy of making the book mandatory in the library should be changed.

Overall Experience: There are several employers that recruit on our campus. Career services seem to get the information out on workshops and internships that are available.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: My overall experience was good. I have two classes this semester. One does not start until October 21, 2014. English which I have now the professor is very informative and works with us students. We have an small class size which makes the experience a little more personable, and easy to learn.

5 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I only have one class so far.

5 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Class registration ran smoothly. I have English 083, the professor has a great curriculum. She takes the time to work with us if there is something someone does not understand. She has us working in groups at times to that we build a rapport with one another. Overall it is a good experience.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I don't feel that financial aid is informative enough about the process and what is being paid for.

3 College Sophomore

Student Body: A typical student at Ivy Tech Community College goes to classes and interacts and participates in the classes and then goes home. When it comes to diversity Ivy Tech Community college has Professors that challenge students to work together in groups, which brings a wealth of information from the groups being diverse example: age, race religion, sex. There are also a lot of different college organizations and clubs that are very diverse.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: They offer wonderful resources. Students just have to take the initiative to read it.

5 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: The school has been great. They had several different times and days available to meet a variety of needs for class schedule. I am enjoying and participating in classes and joined the Student Government Association and have become a Student Senator.

4 College Sophomore

Career Services: I plan to utilize career services. They are very informative. I have not actually used they there services, but they do put great information out to students.

Campus Resources: just a hassle waiting in line then waiting to be seen

Academic Experience: I loved the accounting classes even though I was frustrated at times

Online Courses: works with my busy schedule

Tuition & Financial Aid: I hate every time I use the hotline they don't know who I am even though I've been there for years now

4 College Senior

Online Courses: I will have completed my entire degree with online only classes, which has been a life saver as a stay-at-home mom!

3 College Senior

Student Body: You get a wide range of people in your classes. However, our campus has a lot of working students, or students that have vouchers to learn a different trade skill because there previous work closed. For example, a few years ago there was a huge influx of students after the RV industry bombed. Once they reopened, many students went back to their old jobs without completing a degree.

3 College Senior

Career Services: It doesn't offer bachelors degrees, so you have to either transfer to another school, or job hunt with either a certificate or associates degrees.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: As a community college, we do not have the same facilities that other colleges or universities offer, but the nice thing is is that you have flexibility with your schedule.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: It seems like a lot of work for the curriculum, but once you have it laid out, it's not as intimidating.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: Our region is limited in some ways, but offer several programs that other campuses don't.

3 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: Most are willing to work with you as long as you keep an open line of communication.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: Many programs offer externships as well as help with job prospects
