I really love attending this school. I honestly feel that if I went anywhere else I would've been dropped classes or stopped going altogether. I like the space between my classes because that allows me a chance to study in the library of I can't find the time at home in the evening. The professors and advisers are truly helpful and have your best interest at heart, especially the retention adviser. She is amazing! This school does greatly exceed my expectations.

Some of my courses were difficult but prepared me for life and my career challenges. The professors at Ivy Tech are there to help! If they feel you need extra help they are even willing to either help you, or direct you to someone for one on one help. In class discussions happen often and really helps with the learning process. Classes sizes can vary from 5-30. This is very helpful because you can grow a relationship with your peers and help each other out.

Although the school itself seems to be okay, and the teachers have been great so far there is a huge problem. The financial aid department is horrible. This is my third semester (which hasn't even started) and they are already saying that they are behind. They provide you with a credit for their bookstore, but the money that we are taking loans out for, the government issued money that we need, we do not get until we are well into the semester. And we don't even get the option of buying the books elsewhere with our financial aid because we don't have it! Last semester I didn't get my aid until the beginning of March! The summer semester still took them a month into classes to disburse it. There is no reason they cannot give the aid soone4r, that is a valid reason. Every other school gives the money at a faster more prompt way, and if you call the cashier department you will be put off by rude staff members that are clearly underpaid and "overworked". It is ridiculous!
