Tuition & Financial Aid: Compared to the school I went to before Ivy Tech this is pocket change. I do not have a problem paying or getting financial aid at all.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition rates are low, so I have no complaints. However, the Financial Aid process and the Financial Aid staff members is a constant headache. I have no tips to share, but I do have a suggest.. Hire individuals who actually likes helping others, and capable of speaking to others with respect.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The first time you do it, the process is a bit tedious. I had to go to the NMC (North Meridian Center) building more than five times in order to get assistance. However, I learned that the only thing you really need to do is focus on what informative documents they need, and do your best to submit those documents. Here's a tip: most of the info comes from the IRS building. You can go online or do like I did and go downtown. Priority dates are posted to tell the students when to get down to business so they can get their financial aid on time. TAKE HEED OF THOSE DATES. The sooner you know when to fill out financial aid the better. Even though there is technically no deadline for financial aid, it's best to have all that done prior to the priority date. Otherwise, you won't have the needed supplies for your classes.

Applying for financial aid is a lot easier than most might think. Students just fill out their FAFSA, and it is automatically sent to Ivy Tech. In a few days, the information shows up in the office's system, and in a couple weeks, students' money for financial aid shows up in their accounts.

Ivy Tech does a great job of keeping students informed about what is going on with financial aid and teaching them how to use it. The office gives students warnings about deadlines and tells them how to sign up for financial aid. The tuition at Ivy Tech is low, a lot less than other colleges, and the online payment process is easy.
