For the teachers that I did have they were good, they cared what my education was and what i was getting from the school and was upset when the school didn't do everything that they could to help. "It's politics" is what they would say and they would tell me a lot of helpfull sites that helped me along in school when the teachers that ITT found didn't know what they were teaching.
Self Teaching for Digital Design – I'm a Visual Communications Graduate and I taught myself how to use the programs because they didn't have enough qualified teachers to teach all of the diffrent programs. Instead of saying "hey we don't have a teacher for this class so we won't be hosting it this quater" they just take your money and put an unquilified teacher to teach a program that they themselves don't know or understand. I had a wed teacher for 3 days before we never saw them again and they didn't know how to work the program. Do I understand web .... the parts that I taught myself but the other aspects of it I didn't get at all (could be due to the lack of a teacher to teach it). Talking to the Chair of that program didn't help because she told us that our degree choice was "a usless program that will get you no where unlike Computer Drafting and Design". Oh and be careful of your loans, you can put it in forbearance and defferment but most of there loan help is private loans that you can only deffer if you continue your education..... at ITT Technical Institute which finance lacks to tell you even though you ask the question before signing papers. I know that you have your for profit schools but this one takes the whole cake, $50G+.
My School Is Great – My overall experience at ITT Technical Institute has been great. The teachers and faculty make sure you understand everything you need to know to get ahead. I've had teachers and other faculty members help me with getting internship, certificate and scholarship information. I'm glad that I choose to attend ITT Tech. They make learning easy and fun. I currently hold a 4.0 GPA and am an active member in the NTHS (National Technical Honors Society.) I couldn't image a better school.
Good and Bad – The classes are very flexible and I can still work full-time while I go which is a strong reason I chose to go here. The only thing I don't like is that the credits aren't really transferable. I don't think I can switch to another school in the middle of my degree unless it's another ITT. But I'm not worried about switching. I think this school will provide me with a great foundation to start in my career.
Tuition & Financial Aid:
They Were Focused – I feel that the degree I'm earning is well worth the money I'm paying. When I first went to look at the school my rep brought me in and introduced me to financial aid and she helped me for about two hours that day to make sure all my financial aid was set-up, she was very friendly.
Great Drafting and Construction Program – We have a great construction and drafting program at this school and Dr. Hayes get's a lot of guest speakers to come in and talk about different fields of the profession. I really enjoy these speakers because we get to find out more about how the job industry really is.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
