4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Most of my professors so far have made the class challenging but easy to pass with satisfactory grades.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: When we have questions, there is always somewhere to go to ask for help.

5 College Junior

Academic Experience: I realized that I made a good choice in choosing my major because what I have learned in my major courses has inspired me to continue down this path.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Choosing to go to this community college was probably one of the best decisions I ever made. I feel like I am applying myself much more.

Academic Flexibility: I've had no troubles with having to choose a different time slot for various classes when things came up. Transferring credits have been relatively simple to do with wherever one decides to transfer to. The counselors are there to help and make sure that you are on the right track to obtaining your goals.

Online Courses: I've only taken online classes when I feel that I do not have time throughout the week to actually go on campus to take certain classes. That being said, the classes that I have taken are all straightforward and similar to a traditional classroom setting, minus the actuality of being in a classroom. The workload (I imagine) is about the same, the availability of the professors is about the same, and the registration process is about the same. The only difference is the peer-to-peer interaction and that there hardly is any, aside from when professors require discussion forums where students have to comment on other students' posts.

Overall Experience: One thing I liked about attending a community college are the variety of classes offered, as well as the class sizes. Typically, class sizes are smaller which help students build relationships with other students as well as the professors.

Academic Experience: While I haven't joined any business-specific clubs and/or organizations on campus, the professors who have taught my business-specific courses have all been helpful in giving any advice for business students.

Overall Experience: Attending Irvine Valley College was a good decision. The faculty and professors truly care about their students' successes and are always willing to help them improve their education.

4 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: My experience has been good so far. I cant find anything in particular to complain about.

Online Courses: I really enjoyed the online courses I have taken so far. They are designed in a way where all your time isn't allocated towards it. You can come and go and finish assignments on your own time and schedule.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I am not really sure of the value of a degree from IVC. I am here to transfer.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: All the professors I have come across have been friendly and helpful. Class sizes are good, small enough to be able to get a lot of interaction with professors and peers.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: It gives you a lot of freedom and independence. Most people there want to transfer so I found it easy to relate to a lot of people I came across and made a lot of friends.

5 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: IVC has a wide range of classes and class times. I was able to pick classes around my school schedule and take online classes if needed.

4 College Junior

Online Courses: I love being able to take online courses during the summer or winter term because it helps me advance my time there and get out quicker. The teachers are helpful and the courses are great to choose from. The only issue which is unavoidable is that the courses are extremely fast passed.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: The courses that are offered at IVC are great! I've never had too much trouble getting into a class and I was able to connect with professor's right away. Class sizes aren't too large depending on the class that you take and taking summer classes is super easy to get into which is great if you want to advance your way out and into a 4 year university.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: I personally don't have a degree from this school because I'm looking to transfer but I do know that they have job fairs, and college fairs quite often that help you get connected. You're also able to get AA degrees before you transfer, which is nice.

5 College Junior

Academic Experience: The teachers are great for someone who is a psychology major! I love being able to understand my teachers and know that if I don't understand something that they'll take the time to help me understand them. The psychology department also helps you get involved in research at a Community College level, which is great!

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I love going to IVC. The classes are great and the teachers have really helped me understand the topics that I'm learning about. The only downfall I've found is that sometimes the population on campus is a little hard to get to know if you aren't asian or middle eastern which is why I recommend becoming involved in a club or group.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: IVC is a pretty nice school to attend, especially since I live so close to it. My main complaint is that there aren't that many classes on Fridays but that's not that bad.

4 College Junior

Online Courses: I haven't done any sort of online courses, so I can't say for sure other than that I have friends who have and it wasn't terrible for them,

4 College Junior

Career Services: We have a lot of career center stuff, and it's posted where a lot of people can see it, so that's very nice and convenient.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: My professors have all been very good teachers. Even my Communications teacher who was often late to class had some good insight on communicating.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I haven't done any internships with IVC, but I know my school has a lot of frequent workshops and career-centered days and events that I'm sure really help people.
