2 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: What flexibility! I might have to take maths over again!! MATHS!!

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: I don't hate it, I don't love it, it's just there and I'm just doing it.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: It's fine, everything is fine, there are a number of things that tech can solve, college being one of them.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: College is college bro, it's alright.

3 College Junior

Online Courses: All I take are online courses, because I live so far away. If I could I would go to real classrooms and stuff because taking courses online and not being able to see or talk to anyone else in your class, especially the professor, is really frustrating.

2 College Junior

Student Body: I have no idea, I have never meet or talked to any of them.

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Financial aide is okay, but they only give me enough for tuition, not for books or living expenses. I have a job, but that doesn't really even cover rent.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: So far, the first semester was disastrous, but things seem to be going well for this semester.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: They won't transfer my math credits, which is upsetting, but they offer everything under the sun for undergrads like me.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: I go only, so there really isn't a campus to review for me. I've never been to the actual ILCC campus before.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: I have made great friends that I didn't expect to make. They all live pretty close to me to the point I'm surprised we've never met before. Because I went to Iowa Lakes I have decided what school I want to transfer to. I've met people who also want to go to that school that I will know before hand. I have saved enough money going to Iowa Lakes that I won't have to take out any student loans for the first 2 years of college. I would defiantly do it all over again.

3 College Senior

Career Services: I know noting about he alumni network. The career center is helpful and with certain majors jobs are very easy to provide for students.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I have saved money compared to how much it would cost if I went to a four year college. I paid nothing for my first year of college and even got money back from my scholarships. But this year hasn't been so easy. High school scholarships are easier to get than when you are currently in college. I have a meal plan for school and it is cheaper than buying my own food but the food quality isn't great and there is very view choices on foods.

Academic Flexibility: I have not had any issues with having classes and working part time. I work part time for the school so this helps me personally. Also the high school I went to had classes available that transferred to my college so I had no issues. I do not know how well the classes with transfer when I go to my 4-year college but I hope it will be simple. They have told me class transfer to certain colleges is simple, this applies to me.

Campus Resources: The school hours are pretty reasonable for all resources. Unfortunately being a small school our library is pretty small and doesn't have all the materials I've needed for research but the professors are understandably int hat sense. Campus activities are minimal and have little participation. But I do love my school for what it has and for a community college it is pretty good.

Academic Experience: The amount of work I get is little enough that I can get everything done in class in a timely manner. This is nice because bing in graphic design I get almost no homework outside of class compared to other Generals classes I take. The program is decent, nothing amazing, I learned the basics of graphic design in the two years at community college. This is why I plan to continue at a 4-year college to improve my skills. But we do have top quality computers and facilities that I appreciate greatly.

Academic Experience: We get the options that I think any other school would get; take classes online, self taught classes, or regular class with a professor. The class registration process is so simple I applied without any help online and understood everything I read. People get as much work as they set themselves up for you can take 12 credits enough to live on campus or more if you want to finish school ahead of others, but you have to be willing to work for it. Specifically my school is known for its wind energy programs and it athletic programs that involves coaching, athletic injury physically therapy, and the genrals program for those who want to transfer.

Overall Experience: The classes I have taken for the most part have been good. I have good grades that I worked hard for but were achievable. Class sizes are either 20-30 people or are very small, about 5-7 people. But that might be good for a learning environment. I like most of my professors but there are a few with learning styles that don't work well with me; but that goes with any school. I have not had an issues with finding the classes I need or want for my career, they have plenty of options and opportunities.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: the recruiting is great, people come from all over the world. Without them the school would barley have students. I don't know much about he alumni network so that means they need to do more I suppose. Job/internships are mostly for those students that are only attending school for two years. I have some friends who have jobs this summer concerning their majors, they are doing well to help students get experience so they can get the experience to work after school.

Student Body: Our school is very diverse; there are students from all over the world. This is great and I'm glad these people get these opportunities. But this also leads to a lot of groups that form weather it be by race, ethnicity, or athletics. People tend to stay in groups and don't communicate outside that group. It would help if there were more school activities that students could be apart of together. They have a student council that plans events like this but they aren't advertised well or people just aren't interest. This needs to be improved. Lucky at our school people overall are very accepting and open minded of others. The only problem I see in students is participation in classes, clubs, and school events.
