Transportation: Dont really use the shuttle.

4 College Sophomore

Transportation: Transportation is great. There is a bus that takes students to the train station. The campus is not so large so there is no need for shuttles between the campus.

3 Recent Alumnus

Transportation: Campus was small. No needs for outside transpiration if you lived near ampus mostly.

4 College Freshman

Transportation: The transportation is good. There are always shuttle buses running. If you are in a rush you can easily access a cab. The train is not far from the school which is convenient.

There are many transportation options readily available to Iona students. Students say taxis are the easiest method to get around New Rochelle. The main destination for many students is the New Rochelle Train Station, which leads to New York City, where many students go to hang out. Since the station is only a mile away, the cost for a ride is only $5. Besides taxis, students can also take the school shuttle, which is free when they show their school ID. The free shuttle takes students to downtown New Rochelle next to popular entertainment spots. Zipcars and public buses are also other options students have, but they are not nearly as common as the first two methods.

Students certainly will not be stranded on campus with nothing to do, as there are more than enough options to get around. Transportation is very convenient, and a student could live on campus without a car, considering all of the transportation options and Iona’s close proximity to the train station.
