Academic Flexibility: It is a full-time college where the courses are selected for you. There is no need to invest time in trying to select which classes to take in order to complete the program. The schedule is already created for you in the order of advancement through the program. It's kind of like high school was for some students as far as the way it was scheduled. This made it very convenient to the students.

Career Services: The career services do an excellent job at preparing students for interviews, creating resumes, and even help aid in job placement!

Overall Experience: For the 8 weeks we had to spend in a particular class, I think the teachers did a decent job to outline all of the different things we should know, but it was more up to the students to get the most out of it. Due to the lacking in being able to apply our knowledge during the courses for a lot of things, it became difficult to actually learn the material and know what was necessary to succeed in the workplace.

Overall Experience: As the Vet Tech Institute does have a mandatory internship at the end of the program, it becomes very apparent to students whether they are going to love the profession or not. It is finally the taste of hands on work that they need aside from the efforts put forth by the school. As the school taught us the very basics up into the extent of surgery, the real world is a lot more in depth. I would have to say, requiring short internships during the program after certain passing points would be a better idea.

Academic Experience: The school did the best they could to teach us all there is to know about vet tech, but it is such a fast pace program that students are left with not enough knowledge to really make it.

3 Recent Alumnus

Overall Experience: The school itself is very introductory to the real world. As far as real life applications, the students are not very well trained or rather warned about what it will be like. The books are outdated and the content is outdated as the veterinary world is a constantly changing and bettering world.

Academic Experience: The school academic program is great. Workload isn't too overbearing. You make great friends with your classmates. I'd definetly recommend joining Student Senet. It's a great way to get involved in the school and meet new people. Another great benefit is the school helps with job placement after you graduate.

Overall Experience: IBC is a nice school. You learn hands on and the intructors will become your life long friends. My only complaint is the computer are totally out of date. Most of them you can't even use a flash drive. This is after all supposed to be a business college.

5 College Freshman
