Student Body at International Academy of Design & Technology - Seattle: It seems that this school that thrives on diversity. All ranges of ages, nationalities, religious backgrounds, sexuality, immigrates, family status, and economic status. However most of the students do have one thing in common and that's our artistic passion. I feel that in everyone of my classes and it make socializing with each classmate an enjoyable experience.

Academic Experience at International Academy of Design & Technology - Seattle: I Love It! I love learning more things about creating, visualizing and designing Fashion Apparel. The work load I can handle since I love what I'm learning. The curriculum definitely focuses on what is your degree (mine is a Bachelors in Fashion Design) and they give courses for the general education requirements but it is not their main focus- it is an art school.

Overall Experience at International Academy of Design & Technology - Seattle: My Instructors have all been very helpful and efficient. Malusa is fantastic- she really cares and if your willing in the slightest, will bring out the best of your artistic abilities. She always is pushing me to do better, which i really do appreciate since I'm there to learn and improve. So far all of my classes have been average size to very small (20 to 5 registered students in total ) which is wonderful. When you first enroll, you can see what courses you will need to complete your degree via online. You are then given a list of courses available for the upcoming term where they advise you on the next classes to take; and then you figure out what you want to do. Its an interesting arrangement and I personally prefer this since it is definitely more simplistic and easier to schedule around then a typical college courses.

Campus Resources at International Academy of Design & Technology - Seattle: The school itself isn't very flashy but they really do love putting up students projects and pieces which is a very nice touch. There is no physical/ athletic centers- probably because it is a art school. The library is fairly small but nicely arranged and has a fully working color printer, copier, light boards, and computers. Campus activities very from bake sells for clubs, a murder-mystery, student government, Appreciation week for students and faculty (free food and stuff) and random popcorn or free stuff every now and then (they really do try and have a pleasant atmosphere here)

Tuition & Financial Aid at International Academy of Design & Technology - Seattle: The school is very straight-forward, all of your tuition includes supplies for the classes. They also don't really skip out on the supplies (prisma-color pens for fashion sketching, etc.). However, to keep from hiking up tuition costs, they cut supplies fro some classes they don't believe needed them (like any colored pencils, paint or colored markers for some classes). So instead we had to by our own supplies. I'm also in the Fashion design program and you have to supply yourself with your own cloth and muslin. In some of the classes they will supply muslin but not for others (confusing and a bit frustrating). In all though they are really updated on your finances (everything they have you can also access online) and will lead you through the process of getting all of your loans and financial aid figured out.

Academic Flexibility at International Academy of Design & Technology - Seattle: I have only been with IADT (which is now Sanford-Brown) in Seattle since March. The faculty is very friendly and sociable. They really do try to work with you. Communication is definitely a must if you wish to succeeded in this school though. Currently each class is condensed into 5 week courses; which has both good and bad sides. If your classes are small- its great! the classes are 5 hours long which allows you to finish your projects during class and not lose your "groove". At the same time, some classes are really jam-packed with information. So talk to your instructor with all questions you might have and keep detailed notes too. The classes are blocked into 2 time slots 8am to 12:55pm and 1pm to 6pm Monday-Thursday. Each quarter is split into 2 modules; so in order to be a full time student you must have at least one module with two 5-week classes and the other with one (each class is 4 credits, 3 classes is full term, so the classes have to fit into the 2 modules that make up 1 full term). This is doable, but can be a bit of a challenge if you happen to also be working.

Student Body at International Academy of Design & Technology - Seattle: There are a lot of adults at this campus which isn't a bad thing but the moral would be more vibrant if a younger crowd was introduced to the campus. Typical students are usually rushing to class, or in there own world. a lot hang out after class some don't. id say its typical.

Online Courses at International Academy of Design & Technology - Seattle: I only say that its okay because I have not taken an online course yet. but I have heard other students sat that it was okay but would prefer it be in class unless needed.

Academic Experience at International Academy of Design & Technology - Seattle: I do like that our campus has career counselors that do very well with directing us Fashion & Design students in the right direction to fashion internships and jobs. the workload is good in my eyes there's not too much or too little. As far as the curriculum I do wish the fashion trade had more classes related to male fashion. the campus is good, nice and clean safe place to be.

Campus Quality at International Academy of Design & Technology - Henderson: The best thing about IADT, is that its in a friendly environment. Everyone is friendly and is there for the same reason you are. I have been to other colleges, where they are known to be the best in the world, but the people there are all unfriendly. Here at IADT you can get that one on one help.
