Campus Housing: The dorms are well kept and always up to date. Never had a problem with them yet.

Academics: Photography Major – The professors that I have are awesome. They strive to help you better your creativity and your artistic ability. The workload can be a lot if you choose to take numerous art class all at once up to two is manageable after that it can get difficult with projects. The Beard Art Center is a great Facility.

Health & Safety: I have never felt unsafe on the campus. Campus security is there if you need or want them to walk you back. I personally have walked across campus at 4 a.m. by myself after completing a project and I felt completely safe.

Academics: IWU offers numerous programs for all kinds of majors. All the professors I have had were very interested in seeing their students succeed. The workload depends on the class and who is teaching it, but I have found that it is never impossible to complete.

Overall Experience: The academics of the school is one of the best that I have seen. However, the religious side of it is a little bit out there. Being a Christian myself, I find that IWU appears to have some New Age leanings and have had a number of questionable chapel speakers in the four years or so that i have been there.

Majors: I feel this school offers a lot of programs and is more than willing to help out it students figure out which major fits them the best.

Weather: I am taking classes online so the weather doesn't effect me at all.

Campus Housing: All of the dorms are relatively new, and campus is still expanding. Beckett and South halls are the newest and are pretty darn nice. Every dorm is suite-style, with two bedroom/living room units connected by a shared bathroom (shower and toilet). On-campus apartment housing is available for upperclassmen, and as long as you're proactive, you shouldn't have a difficult time getting in. Not many people live off campus. Everything is close and convenient and the community aspect of on-campus housing is great. Other than costs, it's hard to justify moving off of the IWU campus.

Health & Safety: IWU isn't located in the best of towns, but there are never any incidents where students are endangered. Our "campus security" is actually campus police - they are legitimate police officers that have the ability to arrest if need be (that isn't an issue here). They are incredibly helpful and available at all hours. They will provide rides from academic buildings to dorms/apartments late at night, will jump your car, and troubleshoot malfunctioning smoke alarms at 3 a.m. (Yes, it happened. Twice. And yes, they are fantastic and understanding!) I have never felt unsafe on campus, no matter how late I've been out and about.

Academics: Having changed my major multiple times and been involved in three different academic departments, I've seen my share of various teaching styles. In every course that I have sat through, the professors genuinely care about their students as individuals and desire for them to succeed. Most easily adjust to each classroom personality - but it's those courses that are interactive and the students are willing to speak up and engage that have provided not only the most instruction academically, but also the most entertainment and memories. College is what you make of it.

Off-Campus Dining: Aside from a large number of fast food and dine-in restaurants on the main bypass, there are so many cute little mom & pop places in town. A 10 or 15-minute drive will land you at some great homestyle, eclectic eateries or fantastic donut shops. It's all about exploring and asking around.

Weather: Even though we have cold winters, with a lot of snow, it is not bad because classes are not very far from the dorms. It takes less than ten minutes to walk from one side of campus to the other.

Athletics: We have wonderful school spirit, team performance, and fan support. Basketball is our biggest sport and a lot of people come to the games, including professors, students, and community members.

Administration: Since it is a Christian school, policies are strictly held. Many people do not agree with certain policies, such as no rated-R movies unless they are approved and no alcohol, but all of the rules are straightforward and being a Wesleyan school, they are not unexpected.

Campus Quality: Student life is the biggest part of IWU. The Barnes Student Center is the hang-out place for everyone. It contains several food options, an art gallery, the bookstore, a game room, a convenience store, a salon, a movie theater, a coffee shop, and a large study area known as the Commons. There's always something going on.

Campus Housing: Most of the dorms are very close to everything. Community is a large emphasis all over campus. Dorm options are good for underclassmen, and upperclassmen also have the option of on-campus townhouses and lodges.

Scholarships: I actually was on the IWU website today looking for scholarships I could apply to but I could not find a link anywhere. I hope they make it easier to find them in the future.

Athletics: We have a great athletics department at IWU, followed with an awesome fan support.

Majors: As a Business Management Major, I am required to have an internship the summer before my senior year. I personally am looking forward to it because I get to see hands on what it is like to manage a business. I don't have many concerns finding an internship because my advisor said she would be willing to help me find one because it is required for me to graduate on time.

Party Scene: IWU is in small town of Marion which has bout 30,000 people. Marion has everything you need, restaurants, the Wal-Mart, Mejier, small shopping mall, bowling, golf, starbucks. IWU is close to the north side suburbs of Indianapolis (Carmel and Fishers were were recently named the #1 and #10 places to live in America). Those cities are sweet and have tons of upscale restaurants, outdoor shopping malls, music clubs, concerts and sporting events. Indianapolis is great city if you like sports and art stuff. It's safe too.

Campus Food: Food is one of best parts of IWU. They have main dining hall called Baldwin which is buffet style and included many ethnic foods and options for students with food allergies or that are gluten free, etc. They also have a huge food court that has a real Chik-Fil-A! Many other options in there too and it's all part of our meal plan so I never have to pay cash for anything, I just use my student ID card which has my meal plan on it

Diversity: It felt like 99.9% of students here are looking to further their relationship with Jesus Christ. A few rare students are here for certain strong academic programs. I heard of a few kids getting into trouble for being stupid but almost all students here are good people. Very very few openly homesexual students but campus is loving to them although they do not agree with the practice of homosexuality. Since it's a Midwest school it's a pretty conservative political school but most students don't care much about politcs.

Campus Housing: Residence halls are all relatively new. They all have individual air conditioning units in each room. All freshman level dorm rooms are suite style so you share a bathroom with your roommate and one other room of two students. All dorms are either all male or all female which was nice. There are open dorm hours each week where guys/girls can hang out in each others dorm rooms. Starting sophomore year you have access to dorms that look more like apartments. Included in those dorms are walk in closets that are huge! Junior and Senior years you have apartment or townhome options on campus with full kitchens. Dorms are sweet here!

Scholarships: They now have higher academic scholarships that combine GPA and ACT/SAT scores to determine your scholarship amount.

Majors: My major is Pre-Art Therapy at Indiana Wesleyan University. I really enjoy my major and I feel that I have been able to develop my skills as an artist. I have not had a professor in my major that I have not liked, and they all strive to challenge you so that you can really learn. I have seen some very cool internship opportunities come out of our school as well.
