Advice on Finding a Job/Internship
The IUPUI Career Center truly is an excellent resource for any student, whether they need help selecting a major, finding an internship or part-time job, or working on professional placement and development. The Career Center prides themselves on being a "one-stop shop" for students because they are there to help with students' career needs from the time they are an exploring freshman up until post-graduation. If students establish a good relationship with a career counselor, that person can be a great networking tool for the rest of the student's life. IUPUI's business and professional programs are run by the IU Kelley School of Business, so students have the luxury of working with some of the very best professional educators out there. Call, walk in, or e-mail the Career Center as soon as possible. They are very quick to respond and will get an appointment set for you at your earliest convenience. Keep in touch with someone from this office throughout your time at IUPUI, no matter what major you choose, and you will come out a respected professional.
