Campus Food

4 College Freshman

Campus Food: The connivence is awesome but one down fall is that the hours are limited and food isn't always the best. It's pretty pricey but overall I think if you do live in ball hall or the tower its nice to have the swipes.

2 College Freshman

Campus Food: The Dining Hall food was good for about the first couple of weeks, but they repeat the meals a lot and no one likes what they serve. It gets old really quick, I hardly ever eat there anymore. I can't wait until I have a kitchen next year and can make my own food.

3 College Senior

Campus Food: There is too much fast food in the campus center. The tower is pretty good, but overpriced. My personal favorite is wild greens. The salads are a good price that they are delicious and healthy.

4 College Freshman

Campus Food: Definitely not a 5-star meal, however all food options fit their location & are quick & easy to access from anywhere if you are in a pinch. Chick-Fil-A is not something you see often in universities, either!

4 College Freshman

Campus Food: i dont eat on campus often but when i do its good

Most students vehemently agree that on-campus dining is adequate at best. Some students bring sack lunches but most endure the low-quality cuisine that is served on campus. There was a new campus center built just recently that has many different types of food such as pizza, hamburgers, mexian, chicken and salads. At the other popular eating areas (Inlow Hall and the Union Building) the food is equally mediocre, with the exception of an occasional turkey wrap or slice of pizza. To be safe, grab pre-packaged name brands off the shelves.

Listed in this section are several so-called restaurants, but this list is very deceptive because there are not really any individual restaurants on campus, except in the food court at the University Place Hotel and Conference Center. Almost every place listed here is simply a separate section in one big common area. So, don’t let the fancy name “Rio Frontera” in the underground Café fool you—it is simply the section of the line that serves nachos. Also, if students are hungry after 3 p.m. it is pretty difficult to get a bite to eat on campus. The only options are vending machines and the 24-hour McDonald’s in Riley Hospital. But, for redemption’s sake, Chancellor’s, the campus sports bar, is one of the first steps in improving IUPUI campus dining. It offers better food quality and later hours than most on-campus dining facilities.

Many students head over to the north end of campus and cross Indiana Avenue to pick from several off-campus restaurants that offer a variety of foods. The restaurants include Au Bon Pain, Best Taste China Buffet, Pizza Express, Nothing But Noodles, Taco Bell, Quiznos Subs, and Donato’s Pizza. These are all within walking distance of most classes.
Did You Know?
Our Den is a newly-renovated on-campus bar with plasma television sets and modern interior design. This is a great spot to come to right after a final or a midterm and hang out with friends while watching the Colts or Pacers.
