Health & Safety: Every campus has issues with some sort of petty crime, but in regards to major crimes I have yet to hear of any. As a Peer Health Educator, we work to provide students with education and support if they need it with regards to sexual assault and other crimes. Campus safety can be seen nonstop all over campus night and day, as well as lighted security poles that allow students to call for help if they need it. Overall, the campus does a great job with all aspects of health and safety.

Overall Experience: The degrees here are nice, because you can either get a IU or Purdue degree depending on the program. As a triple major, I will have 2 Purdue degrees and 1 IU, which looks really good for applications to medical schools. Getting internships is easy through the career center, but in the Pre-med field it's difficult to get any just because of the amount of personal information doctors have to deal with.

Campus Housing: There's a reason I never lived on campus, and it's the prices for housing. They are by far the most expensive in the Fort Wayne area for students, and they have way too many rules for apartment style housing. It's a better option to live off campus and either bike or make the short drive to campus. The rooms are not bad, but the furniture is rock hard, and they're not always quick to fix things. Canterbury is just as close to campus are on campus housing, and costs way less and has way more available.

Greek Life: Our Greek program is finally taking full effect this year. Until then, no Greek life was established on campus. besides a couple of organizations that were backed by Greek programs. Now that they are allowed on campus, I think student involvement will go up and we will see more students than ever before volunteering. This is a great addition to our campus, and I am hoping to see it be successful.

Athletics: Being a commuter campus, it's hard to get a lot of students to come to the games, but this is improving with the successes of some of our teams. This is especially true of the basketball and volleyball teams on campus. Not only are they doing well, but the athletes will come and work events for other organizations so that their faces can get out there to the students. Students are more willing to come to events when they know the faces of the athletes, and can see that they're not just some big shot who thinks ordinary students are beneath them.

Overall Experience: Getting involved in the student life is key to having a great experience here. Joining one organization can completely change your path to success. Student Government was my key to unlocking the potential here, and has lead me to become an Ambassadon, Peer Health Educator, VP of Circle K, and numerous other organizations that are helping prepare me for success in medical school.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Most of my classes are preparing me for nursing which is all pretty much the same but the good thing is that there are small classes so I find it easier to learn.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: It's awesome that I am able to get a Purdue Degree but also save money and stay closer to home.

Health & Safety: It's a very safe place and if you don't feel safe they will escort you back to the apartments or your car.

Campus Housing: It's kind of expensive but for the first year it's a good decision.

Greek Life: There isn't a greek life.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: The facilities are nice but since it's a commuter school not many people go.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I think it's a great starter college but I may transfer next year. It's pretty much just a commuter college.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: The courses are good. I transferred to this school and they don't have my major so I'm doing general studies which sort of stinks.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: A degree is valued because you will get an Indiana University or a Purdue University degree.

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: I feel safe on campus. There is always a police officer driving around campus so that's nice to know that incase of an emergency someone will be there almost immediately.

3 College Junior

Athletics: The athletic workout facilities are much nicer for the athletes than the other students. However, after five o'clock on the week days any students can use the athlete training areas.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: It's sort of hard to make friends because everyone is a commuter. The classes are good.

Health & Safety: Our campus police and security have taken great measures to keep our campus safe. There are emergency buttons located in easy access throughout the campus, should you need an immediate call for help.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The Career Center makes themselves highly accessible to all students and also through their JobZone website, they make finding a job an easy task.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: The athletics events are often free, or discounted for students, and students find themselves able to participate in many events. There is even an athletic center on campus

Overall Experience: This college is great for the convenience and the price. I love the professors that I have met and their classes have all been very engaging. Teachers have made themselves accessible in most cases, which is great for questions.
