5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: At IU South Bend, I can graduate in four years with an Indiana University (Academic Honors) Bachelors Degree in English Secondary Education with minors in Political Science and Spanish. This will allow me to get licensed in multiple subjects. Ultimately, I will be able to teach half the high school curriculum going into my first year of teaching. This will also give me a platform to get my accredition from the International Baccalaureate to teach a worldwide, rigorous curriculum, again, all in my first year of professional education. This will ultimately help me to get my Masters and Doctorates Degrees in Education, so that I may go into education adminstration, and ultimately Washington DC. And the best part of IUSB- I will graduate debt free. IUSB is one of the only affordable 4-year universities left in the country. This also makes it one of the best!

Overall Experience: I would choose my school all over again because the amount of money I am saving is great. I live at home, still eat dinner with my family every night, and save gas by living 15 mins from my college. I will be in no debt after school and have a nursing degree. The advisors are great and so helpful.

Overall Experience: compared to other college experience I have seen or been around, mine is not impressive and not worth the money. I would rather transfer to Bloomington or another school away from this area.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The professors are very helpful and make sure you understand the material they are teaching. There are plenty of options on campus to reach out for help, such as tutors, the writing center, the success center. The classes are small making it easier to ask questions in class. Professors are available to talk to one-on-one and most of the time they all know you by name. The small campus makes is easy to navigate and helpful with getting to class on time. Although as far as financial aid, you really have to keep on top of it, and find out on your own everything you need to do for it, because the staff seems to not all be on the same page. Although I would choose this school again because I like the size and feel it is very helpful in being successful throughout the education process.

Overall Experience: Professors are very willing to help students when the students ask. Getting extra help outside of the classroom is always an option with all of the tutoring programs.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I have had some problems with grades and trying to balance work and school and then last semester I had issues with not having enough financial aid. I have found college to be very difficult. Sometimes I wonder if all this debt is worth it.

Overall Experience: This school is a great community. The professors are willing to help out in any way they can along with the advisors.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I enjoy my school because of its close-knit community. Living on campus was a great first-year experience for me, and I met countless new people that I could study or attend events with. Not only are the students great, but the majority of the professors are very helpful and understanding as well.

Overall Experience: Everyone seems like family at my school

Off-Campus Housing: I know IUSB has houses around campus that they rent but it's a commuter college for you can pretty much live in the area and be able to attend school there.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: You may have to travel a little ways for the restaurants and fast food, but it's not too far from campus.

3 College Junior

Administration: It's ok. I've never really had any problems or seen any problems.

Scholarships: I receive a grant that I qualify for through the state, but the school won't give it to me half the time because it doesn't follow their standards. I'm a full time working mother of 2 and I can't afford to pay for college out right. They have completely took away my financial aid and I only have 2 semesters left!

Campus Food: I usually only get their salads from the salad bar, but you have to be there between 11 & 2 or your out. All the food places on campus close at 2 and that makes it hard for those who don't get to campus until after that for those who have late classes.

3 College Sophomore

Administration: It's the typical things they require and expect of their students.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: My financial aid came through on time.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: It's not too big. The professors are all nice and understanding.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: There's several places you can live

4 College Freshman

Administration: I haven't really seen much issue other than when it comes to sexual assault here.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: It was definitely hard to get and had to go through a few hoops but I eventually got what I needed.

2 College Freshman

Campus Food: It's okay for what it is but honestly I would rather walk down to the gas station and buy a sandwich.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I don't really know as I don't live in housing.

5 College Student

Off-Campus Housing: I live at home so I think its better then on campus

3 College Student

Off-Campus Dining: I like the places off campus

4 College Student

Administration: they are very helpful whether you're lost or just need help.
