3 College Freshman

Career Services: I have not been very involved with these services but it seems that overall, although there is a career center, there is not much networking and job prospects when compared to other schools

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Its a school in a small town so the possibility of creating new friends is not that great. Financial aid has been great as has the professors i have taken. Overall, i feel the school has done a good job helping me advance towards my educational goal.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: There are some workshops and presentations but i have not gotten the opportunity to see much alumni network or job/internship prospects.

Academic Experience: Sometimes the STEM classes fill up too quickly or they don't offer them until the next semester. The teachers for these subjects are actually pretty helpful, want you to do good, and teach very well.

Overall Experience: It's a great way to save money and to transfer later on. There are many teachers that care about you doing good in class so that you can reach your educational goal.

Academic Flexibility: If you can go to class in the morning there are many classes in the afternoon.

Online Courses: I already took two online courses. One was English and it was fun and easy. At first I thought it was going to be hard because is an online course, but the instructor make it so easy.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: its okay if you put the effort to graduate. it depends more in how bad you want to graduate or transfer.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: Transfering credits to this school is not a problem but the flexibility of classes is really bad either you take classes at 8 am or 10 am or you take classes at 6 pm, there are only a few courses between 12 pm and 5 pm.

Online Courses: Online courses make you do more homework but you save a lot of time to study when you have the freedom of self study.

Career Services: There is few information on transfering, you have to make an appointment with a councelor.

Overall Experience: The overall experience at this school is that they help you succeed but in some classes they make you work more than others I believe that the worload should be balanced for all classes.

3 Recent Alumnus

Overall Experience: There are some employment opportunities after finishing a program at this school.

3 Recent Alumnus

Academic Experience: For my major they have very limited computer labs.

3 Recent Alumnus

Overall Experience: Some classes at this school are great other classes not so great because in areas like science they have only 1 or 2 instructors for several classes.

Academic Flexibility: Being in college has been one of the hardest decisions I have ever take. At the age of 18 I got in college and now I'm 24 years old. I stared from the bottom as any immigrant that come from other country and try to success. Not knowing the lenguage was a big barrier for me and I got frustrated many times because of that. When started learning English and didn't think I could achieve a degree and thought I wouldn't be able to have a job out of the fields or truck driving. But during college I have put a lot of effort to learn the lenguage and after 6 years, I am getting an Associete degree and transfer to SDSU. Today I can see myself with a successfully future. I remember a lot of time I wanted to quit school and just start working but deep in me I wanted to hold it and wait for something better.

Online Courses: I think taking an online course has a lot of pros for you. I took one only course a couple years ago and I experienced the reality of taking an online course. One of the things I liked the most is that you put your own scredule to work on it. It is very convenient if you work or have a pretty busy scredule. Another thing I liked is that you save gas money. However , you work on your own so if you don't understand something you either email the professor or look it up by yourself. Sometimes I got a headache when trying to figure something out. I would recommend taking online courses but I certainly like more to go to school. I feel I can get to enjoy college experiences more.

Career Services: The assistant is good. There are counselor and staff that helps you in anything you need like class selection, finantial aid, and registering help as well. The students websites are very good . It's very rare when they freeze and are simple to use.

Overall Experience: My experiences with professors at my colleges are great. I had the opportunity to learn about each one of them. And admire how each professor has their own teaching style. Some are very energetic and outgoing and some other are more quite but very smart at the time of responding to students questions. I share with them experiences with people that can help the class as an example and they contribute with a explanation or feedback about my particular experience. That helps me to understand better the class and to not be distracted.

Overall Experience: In my college i would say there there is a very low rate of students trying to tranfer. Also I don't see any support from the school to try to encourage us to finish and keep on going for more than an associate degree. It seems we are just a number and money generator for the school. Neither I see universities representatives along the semester at any time. All they put is some post out of a building that invite you to transfer but that is pretty much it.
