Academic Flexibility: Transfering credits to this school is not a problem but the flexibility of classes is really bad either you take classes at 8 am or 10 am or you take classes at 6 pm, there are only a few courses between 12 pm and 5 pm.

Online Courses: Online courses make you do more homework but you save a lot of time to study when you have the freedom of self study.

Career Services: There is few information on transfering, you have to make an appointment with a councelor.

Overall Experience: The overall experience at this school is that they help you succeed but in some classes they make you work more than others I believe that the worload should be balanced for all classes.

Overall Experience: Some classes at this school are great other classes not so great because in areas like science they have only 1 or 2 instructors for several classes.

Academic Flexibility: Being in college has been one of the hardest decisions I have ever take. At the age of 18 I got in college and now I'm 24 years old. I stared from the bottom as any immigrant that come from other country and try to success. Not knowing the lenguage was a big barrier for me and I got frustrated many times because of that. When started learning English and didn't think I could achieve a degree and thought I wouldn't be able to have a job out of the fields or truck driving. But during college I have put a lot of effort to learn the lenguage and after 6 years, I am getting an Associete degree and transfer to SDSU. Today I can see myself with a successfully future. I remember a lot of time I wanted to quit school and just start working but deep in me I wanted to hold it and wait for something better.

Online Courses: I think taking an online course has a lot of pros for you. I took one only course a couple years ago and I experienced the reality of taking an online course. One of the things I liked the most is that you put your own scredule to work on it. It is very convenient if you work or have a pretty busy scredule. Another thing I liked is that you save gas money. However , you work on your own so if you don't understand something you either email the professor or look it up by yourself. Sometimes I got a headache when trying to figure something out. I would recommend taking online courses but I certainly like more to go to school. I feel I can get to enjoy college experiences more.

Career Services: The assistant is good. There are counselor and staff that helps you in anything you need like class selection, finantial aid, and registering help as well. The students websites are very good . It's very rare when they freeze and are simple to use.

Overall Experience: In my college i would say there there is a very low rate of students trying to tranfer. Also I don't see any support from the school to try to encourage us to finish and keep on going for more than an associate degree. It seems we are just a number and money generator for the school. Neither I see universities representatives along the semester at any time. All they put is some post out of a building that invite you to transfer but that is pretty much it.

Overall Experience: My experiences with professors at my colleges are great. I had the opportunity to learn about each one of them. And admire how each professor has their own teaching style. Some are very energetic and outgoing and some other are more quite but very smart at the time of responding to students questions. I share with them experiences with people that can help the class as an example and they contribute with a explanation or feedback about my particular experience. That helps me to understand better the class and to not be distracted.

Academic Experience: The major psychology is one of the more interesting major for me and many people in my colleges choose to take it. The class are very interesting since the major involves a lot of critical thinking, analyzing situations, common sense and also includes sciences like biology, and chemistry which we can see how people react according to chemical reactions in our body or mind. We see how we are biological made and that opens our mind to realize how people think and that all we are very different according to our nurture or nature. A good thing about my college is that you can finish an Associete degree for transfer and then finish a Bachelors degree in a university. I'm looking forward to transfer to a state university. My college provides good conselors which are very helpful assistance if you don't know what are the requirements to tranfer and deadlines applications.

Overall Experience: My experience at imperial valley college hasn't been what I expected to be as achieving a higher education. Since it's a community college and everyone gets accepted, I sttrugled a lot of times to get set my scredule according to my time. Another thing is that books at the college are very expensive. One book can cost 100 or 200dlls while in Amazon or eBay you could get it for 40 or 50 dlls. I think it's abusive how the school make book bussiness with education. However there are also good things, the teaching is very good, very prepared teachers. The administration is good also and the campus is always clean.

Overall Experience: No matter what point in your education you are at, all the staff works hard to ensure the learning of the students. Best place for beginning your education and transferring.

Overall Experience: I have met some really great people going to IVC and I love all of my professors they are really great teachers and usually very understanding when things come up. I've gotten involved with the Christian Club and that has been really great for me too. IVC is unique because everyone there shares the Imperial Valley, we all have that in common. It's cool to see people from all over the valley and connect with them.

Overall Experience: Imperial valley college is good school. The campus is nice and clean, teachers, students, staff are very nice. I was scared at first to attend this college because it's here in the valley and many people think it's a simple boring school. As the time has passed I think about my attendence to IVC and I think it's a great school that's gives people that don't want to leave the valley a great opportunity to get an education.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Imperial Valley College is a great community college. The professors give reasonable assignments and do their best to help you succeed academically. If I could do it all over I would definitely choose Imperial Valley College again.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The campus is a little bigger than I anticipated but it's great. Living about 10 minutes away from this college is nice and the people working for the college present a comfortable welcome.
