3 College Freshman

Transportation: Since the campus is so small, there isn't really a need for campus provided transportation. You can wake up for a class 5 minutes early and get there 2 minutes before it starts. But we do have "Titan Transport" which is a free taxi service which takes students anywhere on campus from 10pm to 2am Sunday through Thursday.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: I think IWU students should be able to ride the public transit free, like ISU students. Also, Titan Transportation should be able to go further than a mile, since the bus system has an hourly schedule and doesn't run on Sundays.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: Transportation is not free, but it is very cheap.

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: Most people need a car. We have "Titan Transport" that will pick you up wherever you need if necessary, but I don't know anyone who actually utilizes it.

5 College Freshman

Transportation: Although students may bring cars their freshman year and parking is free, many students choose to leave their cars at home. There are on campus shuttles for commuting on campus late at night, buses which pick up on campus and commute students all over Bloomington-Normal for $1, and ca services which pick up and drop off anywhere on campus.

Public buses run through the Wesleyan campus once an hour or so, making it easy to catch the bus if need be. However, it can take up to an hour to get to where you need to be. You can transfer from one line to another, free of charge, but be prepared to spend a lot of time on the bus. If you nail the timing of overlapping routes, you may be able to traverse town in good time, but if you're in a rush, you're better off calling a cab. Bus rides cost about the same as a load of laundry, but if you frequent either, the change adds up. The Friday and Saturday night party-bus rides are popular among students not only as a means of transportation, but also as a final destination. Kids get all sloshed up and then hop on the party bus for a random night of meeting other equally sloshed students.

In reality, everything you could need is within walking distance. A Kroger, Walgreens, and two gas stations provide food and bathroom items; there is a Chinese take-out, two sit-down pizza places, and a sandwich shop nearby; and University Cinemas is practically on campus. University Street is the only street in town that crosses the campus of both IWU and ISU. This makes it easy to get from one bubble to the next and enjoy both downtown areas. The town is easy enough to get around, but the public transportation is not a recommended option.
