Overall Experience: HCC was a last minute option for me, after getting accepted to Towson University (MY GOAL) and several other schools, I was not happy about going to HCC. I had a very hard time with it actually. I was set on going to Towson, I went through the SAT's, worked hard to get amazing grades in high school, went through the entire application process only to end up at HCC where none of that mattered. I felt as if I had worked extremely hard the past 12 years for NOTHING. Coming in with that mindset, I was only focused on school. I went, took the class, and left. I was not interested in making friends or joining clubs at all. Halfway through my second semester, things started falling in place for me. I was working hard to save up for a car, I was getting letters that I made the Dean's List and was invited to multiple honor societies. At the end of the year I realized it wasn't bad at all, the classes were relatively small so I learned better and it was way easier on my pocket.

Overall Experience: I thought community college would not be a great experience because it's a "community college". BUT I was proven wrong. Going to HCC was the best decision I made- the teachers are great, the classrooms are the perfect size, and I learn just as much as my friends who go to a university.
