5 College Senior

Overall Experience: The school has amazing teachers that really help you to understand and learn the material. I would choose this school again because it is a very small making it very personal to each student and a very quiet and conserved campus.

Overall Experience: Everyone act as if they are parents mootivating and encouraging you to perservere and exceed everything academically and socially. The school is also very hands on, which is good for mne because I am a hands on learner. This school also offfers great housing options. They ahve built two new dorms so if someone applies for housing, it is best to get the application and fee submitted right away because being the dorms are new, the vacant room fill up quickly!

Overall Experience: It's 100% my pace of learning. Love being outside learning in a small school environment.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: The workload that my teachers give me is reasonable. Occasionally the workload was to much for me to handle but for the most part it doesn't take me long to get my work done.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: The professors are open to help their students as long as they are not teaching a class and as long as they don't have something personal to do.

3 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: My classes are flexible enough to where I can make it to basically all of my classes unless something really important comes up and I can't miss it.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: My school is unique because all the buildings is in a short walking distance from each other and there is vending machines basically on every level of the buildings.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: The professors are very passionate about what they are teaching to the students and they will do almost anything to help their students to pass the class.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: There is a library on campus that you can go to study, take books out as long as the books are not textbooks, and computers that you can get on to do your homework or anything you want to do.

3 College Senior

Online Courses: The registration process is easy if you know how to search for classes, register, and then have your advisor approve the classes you wish to take.

3 College Senior

Student Body: Most of the students don't pay attention to the diversity in other students.

4 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: The value of the education that I'm paying for is well worth it.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: The student center has many different activities that the students can do while on campus and have free time. The student center has rock climbing, table tennis, a swimming pool, a gym that you can play basketball, and a place where you can workout.

2 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: Classes are kind of on the high school level of thinking, come in at this time and sit for a few hours till the instructor tells you to leave.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Courses are decent, some can be pretty hectic.

2 College Junior

Overall Experience: For what it's worth you get what you pay for, just don't expect to have job offers once you graduate.

3 College Junior

Online Courses: Online courses are a breeze.

2 College Junior

Student Body: The student body is kind of ok. The only thing wrong with it, and it's a pretty major problem, is the campus ministries. Over the last two semesters they've managed to completely oppress the LGBT club. If you're religious then Hocking is for you, if you're not then it's going to be rough.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The financial aid employees are never there. If you manage to talk to anyone from financial aid it's just going to be a big run around.

1 College Junior

Career Services: The heavy equipment job placement is nonexistent, instructors don't help graduates find jobs what so ever.

2 College Junior

Academic Experience: Being a Heavy equipment student it's safe to say that job offers aren't going to be appearing soon. What the instructors fail to tell students is that most places want at least 5 years experience for just entry level positions. The work load is a joke, it's a few hours of lecture about things we've done in the field. The curriculum is very bare bones. The facilities, as well as the equipment, are in very poor condition.

2 College Junior

Academic Experience: Class registration is a pain unless an instructor helps, and with the administration changing things every week it's to the point where the instructors aren't allowed to help students register.

2 College Junior

Campus Resources: To put it as blunt as possible, the programs aren't the best for finding a job in the real world. From personal experience I've seen many kids go into degrees that just have no job market what so ever. When it comes to dealing with staff, instructors or administration, be prepared to get hassled around. Instructors don't want to help students with anything and administration tends to be on an eight hour break 24/7. The student community is semi ok, but it's ruined by people who think college is all about partying. If you plan on living in Hocking Heights be prepared to witness drinking on campus and music turned up as loud as it can go until the early hours of the morning. All in all it's probably a good idea to look elsewhere for higher education, unless you really like running back and forth.

Career Services: Hocking college is very helpful in setting each student in the right direction to pursue a career in their field of study.

Academic Experience: The curriculum is well put together and touches on most aspects of the the desired degree. All the classes Hocking has to offer are very hands on and provides the necessary experience needed in the field of study.
