Overall Experience: Small class sizes are great! Most teachers are great as well... only issue is student services... they are slow, and a lot of times mess up paperwork or are rude

Overall Experience: I haven't started yet. But I start in the fall and I just love the campus so far and the people there have helped me so far.

Overall Experience: This is my first year, third semester at this school. I'm mostly an off-campus based student, but taking the courses online allows me to work at my own pace, as well as save lots of time and money attending on campus. I've gone to the school for registration and to take one course. The overall environment is decent, not too noisy or crowded.

3 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: They don't work with you until you really push them to get what you want but they are fairly reasonable it seems.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: It was very helpful and convenient for me as a dual enrollment student and I feel prepared for a larger university.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: Class sizes are very manageable and the teachers are definitely there to help you out.

5 College Senior

Overall Experience: Though this is a transition school that a lot of people go to after the typical high school age the professors are wonderful and the education really has me prepared for the next level. Each teacher is so involved in their subject it has my attention even if it isn't related to my career field, and there are so many opportunities for help it's honestly hard not to succeed here. Overall a wonderful school.

5 College Senior

Online Courses: I have taken several online classes and absolutely love them. They allow you to go at your own pace but still keep up with the work and learn everything and the teachers are helpful so long as you aren't lazy. They are my favorite classes at HCC and I take as many of them as I can, especially for math.

4 College Senior

Student Body: There are all types of races and creative people there, really no way you can't be accepted so long as you're not overly rude. The races stick together slightly but overall once you have a class with someone you guys say hi and smile even outside of the classroom, a happy friendly successful atmosphere.

4 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: I don't have to pay for anything because I am a dual enrollment student and they are very helpful in making sure everything is taken care of and in order for that very reason.

Overall ExperienceWhat's this?

Most students agree that their overall experience at Hillsborough College has been a good one. HCC has several comprehensive academic programs, and the great thing about being enrolled in specified programs is usually you have a small roster of professors who teach all of the required classes. That way, you’re able to build rapport with those professors and establish a great working relationship.

Students rely on the ability to mix and match their classes each semester, with some classes on campus and some distance learning (online) classes. Doing so gives them the ability to take care of their responsibilities at home with their families and still get all of their school work completed. Most of the faculty at HCC consider their students to be an extension of their family and are committed to making their success a reality. They offer the students guidance and support so that the students never feel alone in the process.

So, whether you go to HCC to perfect a skill or complete an entire program, you’ll find that the school can be your constant home for learning. Students there highly recommend HCC to anyone, of any age, who is interested in making an investment toward their future!
