Greek Life: Our Greek life has a pretty big impact on campus. They are constantly promoting service events that the whole campus is invited to and encouraged to participate in. They are well respected by everyone on campus. Greeks do not have a bad reputation at all. They are usually very involved on campus and in their school work. Greek parties are pretty fun and people enjoy going to them. Greek housing is available!

Athletics: Our varsity sports are pretty popular and people enjoy going to the games. Our basketball, soccer, and lacrosse team are probably the most popular teams around campus. People absolutely love to participate in intramural and club sports.

Health & Safety: Their is 24/7 security here on campus and their are several resources to turn to in case of an emergency. The university is a gated community and so nobody that is not a student cannot come on campus without being checked in by a security officer at the gate. The only thing that I worry about is that students charged with rape are still walking around on campus. I personally feel that if someone is charged with something like that, they should not be allowed here on campus especially if it is gated because that means that we are gated in a space with bad people.

Overall Experience: Most of all my classes I really enjoy. The professors make you feel welcome and they are here to help us be successful. We are welcome to ask questions any time and they are extremely good at responding back within 24 hours. The main goal is for us the students to excel.

Campus Housing: I am satisfied with the housing that I was placed in. I love my room and the hall that I am on! The housing is just how I pictured my freshman college experience to be dorm wise.

Greek Life: I am not a part of Greek life, but I know that they do great things and they are like a community within a community.

Athletics: The students support their university in any way possible!

Overall Experience: The best thing about High Point University is that it has the Bonner Program which is a service learning organization that allows us to go out in the High Point community for several hours out of each week. This program helps us learn about the community that surrounds us and it gives us the opportunity to build relationships with the people within the High Point community. I also like that the university provides an organization call Research Rookies because it allows us to stand out from the other thousands of students that will be graduating with me. The program teaches you about research and once completed, faculty that have no idea who you are will then hear about your loyalty when it comes to doing research.

Health & Safety: Safety on this campus is very serious. You will always see security guards patrolling campus. To get into campus you have to pass a security guard and show them your ID so no strangers are let on campus.

Overall Experience: All of the professors that I have had so far want you to succeed. They will do anything to help you.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: There are a lot of resources here on campus to make connections and become known if your field. There are people here that help you find jobs and internships.

5 College Freshman

Greek Life: Not everyone participates in Greek life. Everyone on campus attends every philanthropy event and goes to their parties to support them even if they aren't apart of Greek life. Greek housing is available for those interested.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: Sports are attended frequently but some more so than others.

Overall Experience: I have enjoyed High Point University so far! I think the opportunities here are amazing and the academic advisors are always easy to reach out to.

Overall Experience: I particularly loved the small class sizes. Because of this, professors were very willing to help and are rarely busy during office hours.

Campus Housing: Loved living in York Hall, the quiet honors dorm. Hated Finch Hall freshman year because of distracting noise of people partying every night.

Greek Life: I don't know much about greek life besides their parties.

Athletics: As someone that used to play on the Men's Soccer team, the caliber of players (including myself) across the board for all HPU sports were very average. Not poor, but nothing extraordinary. Excellent athletic facilities though.

Overall Experience: Good school, just not the right fit for anyone that isn't a rich, white, ignorant trust fund child from Northeast US.

Health & Safety: High Point takes it's students' safely very seriously. You won't walk more than 2 minutes without seeing a security vehicle patrolling.

Overall, the HPU experience is nothing less than “extraordinary." Most students are happy to be attending such a fantastic school and are actually sad to be going home at breaks. The campus has such a welcoming atmosphere that students feel that they are at home no matter how far they have to travel to get there. Students become so involved with friends, clubs, sports, and organizations on campus that leaving all of that to go home is sad for a lot of students. When it comes to preparing students for the future, High Point gives them every opportunity, and all they have to do is take it. High Point produces well-rounded students who are prepared to enter graduate school or the job market as soon as they graduate. With a focus on a real world experience in the University's education, students leave HPU with the competence to jump into the workforce. Through internships and hands-on classroom work, students can feel confident they have the skills to succeed.

High Point is different from so many other schools because it is a small school with large-school facilities. The University has the resources of big schools, but the friendly and caring atmosphere and personal attention of a smaller institution. Professors know students by name and take an interest with what they are doing in and out of the classroom. High Point values a student's whole education, not what is just limited to the classroom. The professors and administration work on molding students not just academically, but also instilling in them a sense of generosity, self-awareness, and kindness toward their environment and fellow man.
