Party Scene: Usually, when you go to parties you can get alcohol, but at High Point you can't. You have to program before the party. By 6pm on Friday the campus is dead and everyone is KO'd by 9 or 10 because they pre gamed to hard. When once you get to the parties in Greek Village people are usually just standing on the sidewalk. When you walk in the parties--no one is dancing they are all on the patio. But Centennial's parties are better. The parties are over by 1 am.

Guys & Girls: If you have long hair with a tan and wear Lilly, Jack Rogers, or something along those lines...THEN YOU'RE SET...if you don't then...GOOD LUCK

Health & Safety: Since this campus is extremely homely the administration does at lot to protect the students. We have this thing called medical amnesty. It is sad to be used only once within your four years...but people sometimes use it once every month. The program is to help the student in need when they are "too turnt" and not get them in any type of trouble.

Off-Campus Housing: Many students at High Point stay in High Point owned housing because it is so nice. The university has a trolley services for the students on campus to go the places (owned by High Point) that are apart of the campus and vice versa every 20 minutes during the day and night.

Overall Experience: I love high point so far. I think they offer great opportunities for jobs, internships and the career center is very helpful to students. They want to help you find a decent job.

Greek Life: I am not interested in Greek, but for those who are, it seems pretty nice.

Administration: I think the school is very good with regulating the policies I have faced so far, yet I do not know how they approach all of them since I have not been in those situations.

Scholarships: I went to the Presidential Scholarship Weekend and received an annual scholarship that will definitely benefit my experience.

Campus Housing: I love my dorm just as much as my room at home. I feel very comfortable, safe, clean and spacious. The amenities are more than expected and the social atmosphere is great.

Overall ExperienceWhat's this?

Overall, the HPU experience is nothing less than “extraordinary." Most students are happy to be attending such a fantastic school and are actually sad to be going home at breaks. The campus has such a welcoming atmosphere that students feel that they are at home no matter how far they have to travel to get there. Students become so involved with friends, clubs, sports, and organizations on campus that leaving all of that to go home is sad for a lot of students. When it comes to preparing students for the future, High Point gives them every opportunity, and all they have to do is take it. High Point produces well-rounded students who are prepared to enter graduate school or the job market as soon as they graduate. With a focus on a real world experience in the University's education, students leave HPU with the competence to jump into the workforce. Through internships and hands-on classroom work, students can feel confident they have the skills to succeed.

High Point is different from so many other schools because it is a small school with large-school facilities. The University has the resources of big schools, but the friendly and caring atmosphere and personal attention of a smaller institution. Professors know students by name and take an interest with what they are doing in and out of the classroom. High Point values a student's whole education, not what is just limited to the classroom. The professors and administration work on molding students not just academically, but also instilling in them a sense of generosity, self-awareness, and kindness toward their environment and fellow man.
