Guys & Girls: Campus is like no other college. Literally there is not a speck of dirt out of place. Everything you could ask for is at your finger tips. Food on campus is available till 2AM and on top of that, there is a free 5 star steak house to treat yourself to once a week. the dorms are incredibly nice. The library is 24/7. Academics are incredible, for example the business school is replicated from Harvard's business school with no lecturing but rather round table discussion. The kids here are all nice and inviting, but they do seem stuck up and full of them selves, mainly because most all of them are good looking, rich, and drive bentleys. But if you try to fit in, it truly is the place for you. Parties are crazy, especially in the Greek Village. Even if you don't plan on coming here, you at least need to come see this place. Its a resort rather than a college. All that is missing is a waterpark. the tuition is really worth the money here at High Point

Campus Housing: I love my building, although it's not very social because most times people keep their doors shut.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: I received a decent amount of money, which did make the school more appealing.

Administration: I have had nothing but a positive experience with the administration here. They know what they're doing and do their job well. They are here to help us.

Party Scene: It's pretty much the same thing every weekend. I usually end up disappointed at the end of the night.

Health & Safety: The safety of the campus, is really strong. I can take a walk alone late at night and not be worried. The only time I've heard of things happening is when people have had too much to drink.

Party Scene: It's the same thing every weekend, pregamming in the dorms and then going to either centennial or greek. After a while, this gets old. The school is overall kind of boring

3 College Freshman

Administration: The administration only really cares if you are being dumb...so if you are smart about drinking or other things, you will get in trouble, but otherwise you are okay.

Campus Quality: This is by far the most beautiful campus, and coming to the campus in person makes all the difference. The school spends a lot of money keeping up with the overall looks of the campus and the fact that the majority of the buildings on campus were built after 2006, makes for new and modern buildings throughout.

Overall ExperienceWhat's this?

View student contributors

Overall, the HPU experience is nothing less than “extraordinary." Most students are happy to be attending such a fantastic school and are actually sad to be going home at breaks. The campus has such a welcoming atmosphere that students feel that they are at home no matter how far they have to travel to get there. Students become so involved with friends, clubs, sports, and organizations on campus that leaving all of that to go home is sad for a lot of students. When it comes to preparing students for the future, High Point gives them every opportunity, and all they have to do is take it. High Point produces well-rounded students who are prepared to enter graduate school or the job market as soon as they graduate. With a focus on a real world experience in the University's education, students leave HPU with the competence to jump into the workforce. Through internships and hands-on classroom work, students can feel confident they have the skills to succeed.

High Point is different from so many other schools because it is a small school with large-school facilities. The University has the resources of big schools, but the friendly and caring atmosphere and personal attention of a smaller institution. Professors know students by name and take an interest with what they are doing in and out of the classroom. High Point values a student's whole education, not what is just limited to the classroom. The professors and administration work on molding students not just academically, but also instilling in them a sense of generosity, self-awareness, and kindness toward their environment and fellow man.
