In my building there is a wide variety of student types. There are students fresh from high school, there are students that are older that are continuing their education for job enhancement or just to keep themselves educated, then there are students there that are working on their general education courses preparing them to transfer to a university. Most students are going to Henderson Community College to complete their degree basics before transferring to another college to go further than an Associates degree. Everyone I've come across is serious about getting their degree, but are still friendly people to chat with before or after class for a short time. The college is a good environment with several places to go for help if needed.

The Grill – Henderson Community college is one of the better community colleges out there. Very high tech, very nice looking. Everything from the library to the student center has been renovated. Computers are EVERYWHERE! Also, the Grill on campus has the best food I've ever tasted in my life. Goodhome style cooking at it's absolute best.

Transferring my credits was pretty easy because my high school credits automatically transferred over to the community college except for Advanced Placement class test scores. Other than that one credit all my welding and other academic credits transferred over giving me a head start on my degree. When scheduling for a class we have to consult with our specially assigned advisers, who then recommend classes that will help further us in our degree and keep us on track with the career options we are planning on. After getting the approval of our advisers we are then able to enroll into our classes online. My adviser helps to work around my work schedule so that I can work and continue my college education.
