4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: The campus is very safe with public safety keeping a watch over the campus

Campus Housing: The cost of living at this university is kept at a reasonable cost for all students. The amount of options available for students is vast

Greek Life: I have no personal experience with the greek life on campus

Overall Experience: So far the staff and professors are very encouraging academically and spiritually.

Athletics: The fan support on campus is phenomenal. The crowd is very involved with cheering and showing support of the athletes.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: Personally, I am not a huge of sports so I have not attended very many events; however, they are popular with other people on campus and usually bring about a good attendance and support.

Overall Experience: My education thus far at Harding University has been phenomenal. From the professors who I see in classes everyday, to fellow students who are equally passionate about wanting to make an impact on the world, to even the President who is approachable to all and commonly eats breakfast with the students, Harding is a school I would strongly recommend to anyone.

Health & Safety: I often walk across campus at night alone and have never had an issue. Public Safety does a great job of keeping Harding safe despite the crime rate of the surrounding area. They always have golf carts and public safety cars driving around campus to patrol and drive people around. The only issue I've heard of someone having was when my friend was walking alone on the outskirts of campus and was harassed by a group of men (thankfully nothing serious), but she immediately called public safety and they were very helpful and sent people out to look for them so no one else would be harassed.

Campus Housing: A large portion of students live on campus. Most dorms are close to academic buildings and the cafeteria. Freshmen dorms are decent and are suite-style (except for Harbin), but you can move up to bigger or apartment style dorms if you have a certain amount of hours completed. Most dorms are close to laundry facilities and some have washing machines within the building itself.

Greek Life: "Greek" life isn't actually Greek life here, but it's still an important aspect of Harding. We have "social clubs" which replicate sororities and fraternities, but aren't affiliated with any national chapters and don't have any official housing for them. That being said, about half of the campus is in a social club and there are many activities and events with revolve around them. Some clubs are incredibly small with less than 20 active members, but some have more than 150 people in them. In addition, every club has different kinds of people in them and are known for different things, so there really is a club for everyone if you wish to get involved. However, if you don't want to join a social club, there are many other ways to get involved on campus and most members of clubs won't look at you any differently.

Athletics: Both football and basketball are fairly important and talked about here, but definitely not the most important things. We also have good teams in other sports like soccer, volleyball, and softball. Intramural and club sports are pretty popular as well.

Overall Experience: I'm in the process of finishing up my freshman year at Harding and I've had such a great experience so far. Most of my professors are helpful and really care about the students, and I've already been able to take many classes within my major along with upperclassmen. It's also very easy to get involved here, as I have, with all sorts of academic and service-oriented clubs on campus, "social clubs" (which are Harding's equivalent of sororities and fraternities), activities such as Spring Sing, and many other opportunities. I also am very impressed with Harding's study abroad programs and am planning to attend one in the fall. That being said, Harding isn't necessarily for every student. It is a very conservative school, so there are many rules that you have to be ready to adhere to when you decide to attend here. In addition, unfortunately LGBT people are not always welcomed in Harding's community or if they are, they are expected to not be very open about it. As a whole, though, I love the people I've met at Harding and all the experiences I've gotten to take part in here.

Health & Safety: We have health and safety checks every other week so I would say our campus/dorms are relatively clean.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I am a social work major, and that major here is amazing. It is an accredited program so people who graduate know they can get done with grad school sooner and almost always find a job in this tough economy.

Campus Housing: I did putlock and my roommate is a total sweetheart, but she is nothing like I had expected or put on my compatibility charts for rooming.

Greek Life: Okay so our greek life is social clubs, and most people are confused by that; but they are still an amazing way to get involved at Harding.
