Overall Experience: It all depends on who you are as a person. Its a great school academically and if you are career driven like me then it is a fantastic choice. I don't know a Harding University Graduate without a great job. I know people who teach English, Kindergarten, work as Nurses, Accountants, Computer Engineers, Journalist and even a couple of Beauty Bloggers. If you are an open minded liberal or free spirit like myself you may have a hard time with the conservative view point in strict rules. The students and teachers alike can be very close minded and not open to ideas outside of those they've been taught their entire lives. Many of them have not explored outside of their beliefs and are not open to doing so. If you were raised in a sheltered, conservative christian household then you may be fine with it. If you consider yourself very open minded, unique and different you may have a hard time fitting in here. They pride themselves on diversity and while they do have many international students and students from all over the country the majority of them are white, well to do sheltered, christian kids. While the people at the school are extremely conservative they are a lot nice than at state or public universities and professors are a lot more understanding and easy to communicate with. Christ is the center topic of mostly every conversation so If you are not religious at all you may have trouble with that but if you consider yourself a believer it won't be an issue and you may even enjoy it. There is always someone there willing to pray for you, however I find it's not always easy to find sincerity. One thing that stands out at Harding University is the majority of students are required to attend daily chapel and take bible courses no matter the type of degree they are seeking. Harding is a good school but If I could go back I would have explored more options. However, I do not regret being at Harding because I have learned a lot about myself and others.

Overall Experience: Being at Harding has been a really good experience. The campus is beautiful and I love how personable the teachers are with the students. The small class sizes really optimize my ability to learn and pay attention in class. The only thing that could be annoying is the rules. While I understand and can respect the rules such as no girls in the guys' dorms or guys in the girls' dorms, curfew, no shorts to class, and no alcohol even if we are of age, they can definitely make one feel like they are still being babied and do not have the independence that one may expect at college. Each rule is put in place for the students' well being, it can just be hard to see that most times.

Overall Experience: I absolutely love Harding. Sure, it's been almost non-stop work and it's the hardest thing I have had to do in my whole life, but I wouldn't trade it for the world, for it's the most rewarding thing I have ever done. I do not regret going to Harding for a single moment, especially when I'm studying overseas next semester. I don't know any other college that has such a focus on God and on being wise and responsible stewards of His will.

Overall Experience: I loved my time at Harding University. It was an excellent environment with professors who cared about me as a person and academically. My four years there have shaped me into the person I am and have prepared me to continue on my journey.

Overall Experience: Harding has been one of the best experiences of my life! My entire family went to ACU and so I wanted to try something different and I am so thankful that I did. My department is my favorite part about the school! The professors are incredible and are so kind. They genuinely care about the future of their students. The students are all extremely nice and easy to get along with. There are a lot of rules, however, as long as you know what you are agreeing to they are not a problem. Honestly, some of the rules help keep the community feel of the campus. I love this school and will miss it so much when I graduate! Truly the best years of my life!

Overall Experience: I love my school and the people there. It didn't take me long to form strong friendships. There are so many kind and friendly students and teachers. There is a strong focus on God. I am so glad I chose my college.

Overall Experience: The powers-that-be are white overweight men who fear monger the backwards inbred feelings during the Jim Crow days. There are really cool profs but they are normally squelched under the ruling thumb of these God's patriarchs of "virtues." Anything at all that deviates from fundamental Christian beliefs is a sin, (not articulated in so few of words but in gentle Christian pseudo brotherly concerned speeches during chapel).

Don't even fool yourself into thinking you're starting out life as an independent adult, getting away from your parents when you go here! Unless you are a recently liberated Amish person, then Harding will not trust you with any freedom of choice. I'd rather be in prison than here, at least in prison they won't throw you out for sex.

This year they received 10milliion dollars from an anonymous donor, but instead of helping with their already deplorable financial aid they are putting it into making a new gym!

They also nickel and dime you over rotten food from the caf, terrible living quarters in the dorms (unless of course your mommy and daddy are rolling in their Texas oil money to pay for passable living quarters) and also are meddling marriage pushers constantly trying to "mate" you by the end of graduation with a Christian partner (opposite sex of course, bc if you're gay, bi, or transgender just see how quickly their souther "hospitality" turns into Good ole' southern hostility.

Trust me, an all Christian campus is going to be a living hell to anyone who is forward thinking and actually a decent human being who believes equality.

Overall Experience: Harding University is my favorite place to go, and the most difficult to leave. I have been a student for one year, and in that one year I have grown so much individually and made friends that are irreplaceable. The professors are the most caring people I have had the opportunity to learn from and they are always available to you in order to ensure your success. It truly is "great to be at Harding!"

Overall Experience: My freshman year was a huge adjustment that caused me to rethink my college choice, but looking back on it now, I could not be more thankful that I stuck it out. Harding University is truly a community of mission and is a second home to me.

Overall Experience: I love my college. It's been the greatest experience so far.

Overall Experience: I haven't actually any classes, but I have sat through classes and it seems great! Everyone at Harding is so nice and caring! They are just all around good people.

Overall Experience: I love attending Harding University. I love how faith and learning are so strongly intertwined. Harding is a very prestigious school and has gotten national recognition. While it may be challenging at times, I feel as if I am always pushed to do my best. My professors have always been so helpful and supportive. Attending college is quite expensive, and I am grateful for any amount of scholarship money that I can get.

Overall Experience: "It's Great to be at Harding!"- I truly love my school already, and cannot wait to attend this coming fall! I love the environment, the students, and administrators. At times, a few rules can be overwhelming, however their purpose assures me of my safety and wellbeing, which enables me to look past them. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the lord and create friendships with people who are on the same page as me!

Overall Experience: Harding University is a very good Christian school. One of my favorite aspects are the professors--they all genuinely care about you and your spiritual life, and are willing to help in any way possible. In general, people at Harding are extremely nice and courteous, I rarely have to open a door for myself. Good morals everywhere. However, there are very strict rules. There is a curfew every night; midnight Sunday night through Thursday night and 1 AM Friday and Saturday nights. Dress code is very strict as well, no shorts are allowed to be worn by boys or girls to class. Chapel is required every day. There is a no tolerance policy for alcohol or drug use. So I would not say you get the typical "college experience" at Harding as far as partying and that sort of thing, but the people there make up for that.

Overall Experience: I love Harding University and am very thankful for the opportunity to be a part of such a great institution. The professors and faculty all care about you and your future and they know you by name, which you cannot say about many universities. I have gone to most of my teachers' houses whether it be for dinner or just to talk about the day. I also love the size of my school. It is small enough that you can see your friends all the time and know several faces through your walk to class, but is large enough that I still meet new people everyday. I love Harding and I would choose it over and over again and I would urge others to visit the beautiful campus.

Off-Campus Housing: Its hard to get off-campus housing approved, but once you find something that works it goes well.

Administration: I understand that at a christian school there are separate living quarters for girls and boys. Harding lacks a variation of opposite genders into each others rooms. I wouldn't mind this if there was places for opposite genders to hangout, but at Harding the space is limited. There is no where to watch a movie or chill on a couch without someone watching your every move. I wish there were more open dorm nights for boys and girls to hangout. Curfew is a big deal at Harding which is midnight on weekdays and 1am on weekends. This seems fitting for freshman, but ridiculous for upper class men.

Scholarships: Harding is a private school so its pricey. I have many loans that i have applied for and been accepted, but its hard to get scholarships. My family is well off, but has no money to pay for college and will be paying loans for years to come. I have agreed to split the cost of my college with my parents which is making me come out of school with years of college loans to pay off. I was granted a little bit of scholarship money for academics, but its no where near enough to make a significant impact. I feel like I am an active student at Harding and really have jumped into the college experience while making good grades. I wish that there more ways to get scholarships for others things.

4 College Freshman

Campus Food: Harding does try its best to give us a wide variety of places to eat. I know many students enjoy sitting down in the student center while eating Chick fil a or Taco Bell. The caf has an amazing salad bar with many options to create a delicious and healthy salad. The car is limited on the fruit selection, I wish there was more fresh fruit. The food there is better than normal cafeterias but for sure has room for improvement.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I think Harding has many wonderful living areas that you can choose from and as you increase in school year, the housing options become greater. The social aspect of it is incredible. Everyone is always so willing to get to know you and help out. The RA's want to get to know you and become your friend. The rooms are spacious and most are up to date on the style of the dorms. You can decorate in many ways and it was a awesome portal for us to express who were are by decorating our living spaces.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: It's very hard to live off campus because you have to make sure it is "approved" with Harding before you can live there. The prices are usually very reasonable for off campus houses however.
