Greek Life: No greek life. Just social clubs

Off-Campus Housing: Its hard to get off-campus housing approved, but once you find something that works it goes well.

Administration: I understand that at a christian school there are separate living quarters for girls and boys. Harding lacks a variation of opposite genders into each others rooms. I wouldn't mind this if there was places for opposite genders to hangout, but at Harding the space is limited. There is no where to watch a movie or chill on a couch without someone watching your every move. I wish there were more open dorm nights for boys and girls to hangout. Curfew is a big deal at Harding which is midnight on weekdays and 1am on weekends. This seems fitting for freshman, but ridiculous for upper class men.

Scholarships: Harding is a private school so its pricey. I have many loans that i have applied for and been accepted, but its hard to get scholarships. My family is well off, but has no money to pay for college and will be paying loans for years to come. I have agreed to split the cost of my college with my parents which is making me come out of school with years of college loans to pay off. I was granted a little bit of scholarship money for academics, but its no where near enough to make a significant impact. I feel like I am an active student at Harding and really have jumped into the college experience while making good grades. I wish that there more ways to get scholarships for others things.

Campus Food: Harding does try its best to give us a wide variety of places to eat. I know many students enjoy sitting down in the student center while eating Chick fil a or Taco Bell. The caf has an amazing salad bar with many options to create a delicious and healthy salad. The car is limited on the fruit selection, I wish there was more fresh fruit. The food there is better than normal cafeterias but for sure has room for improvement.

Campus Housing: I think Harding has many wonderful living areas that you can choose from and as you increase in school year, the housing options become greater. The social aspect of it is incredible. Everyone is always so willing to get to know you and help out. The RA's want to get to know you and become your friend. The rooms are spacious and most are up to date on the style of the dorms. You can decorate in many ways and it was a awesome portal for us to express who were are by decorating our living spaces.

Off-Campus Housing: It's very hard to live off campus because you have to make sure it is "approved" with Harding before you can live there. The prices are usually very reasonable for off campus houses however.

Off-Campus Dining: Most restaraunts in Searcy close at 9 o'clock or earlier. Only a select few stay open later than that. Many, however, offer student discounts, even at fast food places.

Administration: Harding is probably the most strict university I have every heard of. You can get kicked out for being pregnant without being married. Even if you live off campus you cannot have members of the opposite sex in your home or apartment. You have to get off campus housing "approved" by the university. You can't wear shorts to class. Even if you are of age, you can get kicked out for use of tobacco and alcohol.

Party Scene: Harding University is in a dry county and you can get kicked out of school here if you are caught with alcohol, even if you are of legal age. This school is extremely strict so it is very dangerous to party in town.

Scholarships: I transferred to this college and they only offered one scholarship for transfer students. I had a 3.0 GPA so I received 2,000 for the year. That's it. I don't have my parents to help me out and it was a huge hassle trying to pay for my college education. The only other aid I received was grants and student loans, but even the student loans weren't enough to cover everything. It has just been a huge headache with financial aid here and the office hasn't been the best of help to me.

Campus Food: I wish I had more options to chose from.

Campus Housing: Even though there are many strict rules at Harding, living on campus is extremely nice along with being at a safe environment. There are always fun things going on on campus.

Off-Campus Housing: Students are Harding are required to live on campus until you are 23 so for the most part you have no need to find of campus housing.

Off-Campus Dining: Most of the restaurants that we have off campus are just chain food stores or places that you would have in any other town such as pizza places or Mexican restaurants. It has enough variety between the cafeteria and the town to keep things interesting but you also have to be aware of how much you are spending.

Administration: Harding has very strict policies and maintains very high standards for each one of their students. For some people this is a problem and an inconvenience but for most the rules are fairly easy to follow. The big thing is to make sure you know and understand the rules before you decide to go to Harding. If you understand what it expected of you it makes it much easier to abide by the standards that are set.

Scholarships: The process of applying for scholarships is pretty easy and Harding works very hard to make sure that each of us know how to do it. The problem with the scholarship process really just boils down to that Harding is an extremely expensive school which means even if you receive financial aid you will be paying far more than at a state school or compared to what most of your friends will be paying.

Campus Food: The cafeteria doesn't always have great variety so there are a lot of times that you will eat either a piece of pizza or a sandwich for multiple meals throughout the week. Chik-Fil-A and Taco Bell are nice breaks from the Cafeteria food but it also uses up your money so that's not always an option.

Campus Housing: Harding has great dorms that are clean, spacious, and give a very safe environment to all of their students. The dorms are only a five minute walk to most of the classes and there is always an RA or a dorm mom around in case you ever need anything. The rooms and the entire dorm are kept at very high standards and there is a great sense of community within each dorm.
