5 College Freshman

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I am ecstatic that I chose to go to this school

3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: The neighborhood around Hamline is a little shady, but as long as you walk in groups you will be fine. The campus itself is generally safe.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Professors know your name. That's one of the most important things about the classes here. It was really important for me to go to a small school where the professors care. The professors and courses here are truly some of the best in Minnesota.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: There are plenty of internship opportunities, and alumni have come to speak in a few of my classes. I am fairly optimistic about my job prospects after school.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Other than the occasional messy hallway, the dorm buildings are usually in good condition. There is a good social atmosphere too.

1 College Freshman

Greek Life: There is one fraternity and one sorority. Not many people are involved in Greek life, and those who are are not that well liked.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: The athletic teams are pretty average, but it's still fun to attend the sporting events. We have pretty good athletic facilities, even for non-athletes.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I've enjoyed my time at Hamline so far, but there are some things I wish I could change. There is a focus on social justice here, which is really great, except when it goes too far. Some people are too politically correct for my liking. Also, it can get pretty expensive to go here. There is currently a budget deficit, so cost cutting measures on the part of the University is not out of the question.

2 College Freshman

Health & Safety: I actually really worry about my safety on this campus. There is so much evidence of sexual assault. I'm afraid to walk alone at night but I appreciate the safety and security option.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: The actual dorms are okay. I've had wonderful experiences when it comes to building a community within my building. Love my dorm mates.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: Athletics are not a big deal here but it's nice to have access to a gym.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I've found myself at home with my university. I feel that there are things for everybody here and the small campus builds a close community.

3 College Junior

Athletics: The university has adequate fan and school spirit even though sports are not of high importance.

3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: No cameras anywhere, which is a little shady. Security has an escort system which is nice. They're very good at hiding how much they hate the students (which is a lot). Sexual assault is not dealt with well, though. They try to talk it out and that does nothing.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: If you can solve a problem on your own, do it. Do everything in your power not to get the people in charge involved, because it makes a mess and they dig their heels in whenever possible.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Rooms are way too small, water pressure varies wildly, no air conditioners (and you can't bring your own), there's no heating control and so the rooms can get into the low 80s very easily.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The professors are great, the student are very social-justicey (not in a bad way) but the bureaucracy is horrible. Trying to get anyone who actually has any power to do anything is difficult. We had a despicable roommate problem and it took two months to get it fixed. Security has an escort service and they're rather good at hiding their disdain from the students. The food is rather bland and there aren't any food options on campus aside from a Subway that's closed half the time. The classes were great and very focused, despite there not being a lot to choose from.

4 College Freshman

Greek Life: Not totally sure what they do other than community events.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: Haven't attended an event yet.
