The workload is sometimes a little bit more in online courses than in a traditional classroom, but it is necessary to make sure the course information is learned. It also takes the place of the in class discussions. The registration process is the same for online courses and the traditional courses. The professor is available to the student with office hours for the online courses, as well as, the traditional courses. The peer-to-peer interaction is available, if students choose to engage other students in the course on topics and assignments. The class roster is made available through Blackboard for all students enrolled in the course to access.

Everything tech-wise at HCC is great, except that some students play online games, download torrents, and watch netflix over the wireless which can cripple the speed, especially at lunchtime. Laptops are available for purcahse in the bookstore at decent prices. IT support is provided for free to students by the Information Systems Department from 9-5 M-F.
