Overall Experience: The professors are very nice and they have high expectations for the students. The professors also expect you to come and talk to them if you have a problem.

Overall Experience: I love that HCC offers a variety of clubs. I'm trying to start a Love your melon crew on campus and I'm part of an off campus organization as well. I would like to do more that Universities offer. As far as choosing HCC over again if I had to, I'd say I might. I liked how I saved a lot of money, but I really want to attend the University of Maryland. UMD is by far my dream school and I'm trying really hard to get in. I've raised my GPA a fair amount and I've become more diverse as a student but I still don't know if it's enough. I feel as if I would've applied right from high school that I would've had a better chance. Therefore I'm not entirely sure if I'd go to HCC again just to save money because now my chances of attending my dream school are slim to none.

Overall Experience: Sometimes you have to park far away because of how crowded some of the classes get. This is the only college I've ever been to so I can't necessarily compare this college to any others. The students that attend there are very nice and helpful and so are the professors. There is an amble amount of help you can receive, such as free tutoring and the professors try to explain the lesson in a way you can really understand.

Overall Experience: After a year and a half at the University of Phoenix, I decided to go to a community college. Thankfully more than half my credits transferred. Most everything is online at the college making it easy to stay in touch.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I got enough grants and scholarships to pay for all of my courses for two years plus two summer semesters. I also have been able to save a lot of money.

Academic Experience: HCC has amazing science equipment (spectroscopy, microscopy, etc) that you wouldn't expect to find in a community college.

Campus Resources: HCC has some of the best resources I've seen. Most of the services and staff go above and beyond to help students.

Overall Experience: Over the course of my time here, I've had the pleasure of meeting great people who have become close friends of mine as well as fantastic associates who I'll never forget. I feel prepared and ready to continue my education afterwards and look forward to telling others that they should start at HCC.

Campus Resources: The facilities are very nice and the staff is welcoming. There are many activities to do on campus and there is help when you need it.

Overall Experience: For most of my education, especially in the biology program or any science program, I've had wonderful professors and courses that have definitely benefited me and helped prepare me for a four-year institute. One of the best parts about going to HCC is the professors you get to meet and know.

Community college definitely has its perks. It's cheaper than a four-year school and is often a lot closer, offering a lot of the same courses students can apply to a degree if they transfer. Hagerstown Community College definitely helps students achieve both personal and academic goals. With a wide range of both credit and non-credit courses—including "skill-building" courses for personal enrichment—there is plenty to choose from. The school offers services such as the College for Kids, Teen Parent Program, and child care in the Children's Learning Center, making it easy for Junior to get in on the experience, too, while offering Mom and Dad a break.

HCC offers such a wide variety of classes that it makes it easy to pick the courses necessary for a degree or even for personal enrichment. This helps prepare students for a future career or to succeed even more at a current one. Professors are open to questions and suggestions, offering flexibility to accommodate students' needs and, often, extra credit coursework to make up for lost participation or assignment points.  While working on group projects can sometimes be difficult (since everyone lives off campus), the school has several locations on campus where groups can meet in between classes or over lunch. New renovations are underway that will make the campus even more accessible to students and help enrich their overall experience.
